Moonlight to debut in Germany on ProSieben in June 2008

Hey German fans...... According to a recent Variety article, Moonlight will premiere on ProSieben in June 2008 :)

COLOGNE -- Germany's ProSiebenSat.1 group has picked up the free TV rights to U.S. series "Chuck," "Moonlight" and "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" from Warner Bros. Intl. Television.

While the group has not yet made an official statement on the purchase, a spokeswoman confirmed reports from wire services to Daily Variety. The group did not yet state on which of its channels the series will run, but ProSieben is the most likely web for new fantasy-genre fare targeting younger auds.


According to the wire reports, vampire series "Moonlight" in June will take the place of "Supernatural" on ProSieben's Mystery Monday slot. Zachary Levi starrer "Chuck" has been scheduled for this fall. "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" is unlikely to start before 2009 on ProSiebenSat.1, as first airing rights are held by pay platform Premiere.

Recently, ProSiebenSat.1 had also secured the rights to Warner Bros. productions "Gossip Girl" and "Pushing Daisies." Last week, ProSieben started airing "Private Practice." In the coming weeks, ProSieben on its Mystery Monday will start with new episodes of "Nemesis" as well as "Eureka." New seasons of "Jericho," "Lost" and "Supernatural" have been announced for the second half of the year.
