CBS will rebroadcast Moonlight's The Ringer episode (#1x07) on May 30th

Even more Moonlight! CBS issued a press release today announcing that they will rebroadcast The Ringer (episode #1x07) on May 30th. That makes TWO reruns now. *cheer* Just last Thursday, the network let us know they will show a repeat of B.C. (episode #1x06) on May 23rd. We may only have two new episodes left, but at least we won't be completely Moonlight-less after that!

As I said before, I take this as a sign of confidence in Moonlight :)

CBS will rebroadcast Moonlight's B.C. episode (#1x06) on May 23rd

Great news! CBS issued a press release today stating they will rerun Moonlight's B.C. episode (#1x06) on Friday, May 23rd, 2008. That means we get more Moonlight after the four new episodes air. Sounds like a vote of confidence to me :)

B.C. is a fantastic episode. We see another side to Josef. Alex's girlfriend, the gorgeous Holly Valance, does a marvelous job with her guest starring role as the powerful & alluring Lola in this episode.

When the initial spoilers came out, we had great discussions about if Josef was really going to be investigating a case, if "sally" was code for Beth, if Mick was really the vamp who knew the family and so on. Looks like we have some answers in this official description. :> It appears that the little girl is a little boy now. Also, we know which episode we will be meeting Mick's old pal in and where those flashback Alex in uniform photos came from. Whew! That's a lotta info!

The writer is Jill Blotevogel who also gave us the episode that many consider the one that hooked em, Fever (episode #1x04), and 12:04 (episode #1x08).

CBS list of renewed tv programs DOES NOT include Moonlight!

CBS issued a press release today listing the television shows that they are renewing for the 2008/2009 season. Moonlight is not on the list! A few months ago, CEO Les Moonves mentioned that The Big Bang Theory & Moonlight were the freshman series that were "likely" to get a second season. Big Bang Theory is on the renewal list. :( This is the reason we can not let up in supporting our show. It is imperative that the four new episodes airing the rest of this season (beginning April 11th) have huge ratings. Continue writing and calling the network, media shows and magazines, keep Moonlight and our stars at the top of Hey! Nielsen. Above all.... spread the word!

One last thing......... please, remember to be polite and concise whether writing or actually speaking to someone at CBS. Threatening to not watch the network ever again or being rude won't get us what we are trying so hard to achieve. Moonlight fans are a great bunch so I don't think it will be a problem. :)

CBS announces new episodes of Moonlight beginning April 11th!!!

CBS issued a press release this morning announcing that Moonlight will return on April 11th, 2008!!!! *CHEER* We will get four new episodes (#1x13 to #1x16) beginning that Friday. No long wait until the Fall for more Mick St John, Beth Turner, Josef Konstantin, Lt Carl and the gang. How long will Mick be human? What will Beth do about that? ha! Will we see Coraline or a rescue? That is what I love about our show..... the story can go in a million different directions. The important thing is we will get Moonlight back :) I'm sooooooo excited! Keep spreading the word, my friends. We have to make sure those new episodes get big ratings, and we have plenty of promotion time. Let's be sure to also say "Thank You" to CBS :)

UK's Living Channel issues press release for Moonlight

Virgin Media and its Living television network have issued the following press release regarding Moonlight, which they will premiere in England on Tuesday, February 19th, 2008 at 10:00 PM. I'm happy to see how positive they are about our show. They include a great shout out to the loyal Moonlight fans that support the program here in the States ~ “The show has an extremely devoted following in the US, and we believe we can replicate that success in the UK.” I hope Moonlight is embraced by the UK viewers and receives big ratings. :)

Living sinks its teeth into vampire drama Moonlight, Via agreement with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution

London January 24 2008 Virgin Media Television owned television channel LIVING has acquired brand new supernatural thriller Moonlight from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution for its Q1 2008 schedule, it was announced today by Amy Barham, Head of Acquisitions, Virgin Media Television; Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Warner Bros. International Television; and Chris Law, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, UK Television and Digital Distribution, Warner Bros. International Television. The deal secures the acquisition of the vampire drama, which stars Alex O’Loughlin (The Shield) and Sophia Myles (Thunderbirds, Doctor Who) and was recently voted Best New TV Drama at the 2008 People’s Choice Awards in the US.

Amy Barham, Head of Acquisitions, Virgin Media Television, brokered the deal: “LIVING has a real heritage in the supernatural, and the recent excellent performances of Ghost Whisperer and Blood Ties demonstrate our viewers’ commitment to this type of show. Moonlight is another strong offering in this genre.”

“We are thrilled that LIVING is the home for Moonlight in the UK and know it is a good fit for their audience,” said Schlesinger. “The show has an extremely devoted following in the US, and we believe we can replicate that success in the UK.”

In Moonlight, O’Loughlin stars as Mick St. John, a mysterious, charming and immortal private investigator from Los Angeles who defies the traditional vampire tendencies by using his wit and powerful supernatural abilities to help the living. CBS had the week's four most-watched scripted programs - NCIS, CSI: MIAMI, CSI and WITHOUT A TRACE - while parts two and three of the COMANCHE MOON mini-series won its respective time periods in viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Jan. 20, week 17 of the 2007-2008 television season.

Nielsen estimates that 35.4 million viewers watched all or part of COMANCHE MOON.

For the week in viewers, CBS (9.73m) trailed FOX (24.29m) but was ahead of NBC (7.76m) and ABC (6.21m). Season-to-date in viewers, CBS (11.48m) is ahead of ABC (9.91m), FOX (9.67m) and NBC (8.83m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (3.2/07) and averaged a 2.4/06 in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.2/10) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.3/09, with both NBC and ABC).

For the week in households, CBS (6.3/10) was -53% behind FOX (13.4/21) and +24% ahead of NBC (5.1/08) and +54% in ABC (4.1/07). Season-to-date in households, CBS is first (7.3/12), +14% ahead of ABC (6.4/10), +24% ahead of FOX (5.9/09) and +30% ahead of NBC (5.6/09).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

NCIS was second behind the premiere of "American Idol" in households (9.9/15), viewers (15.82m), adults 25-54 (4.3/10) and adults 18-49 (3.0/07). Compared to the live plus same day season average of NCIS, this broadcast was even in viewers (from 15.80m) and retained 99% of the program's household delivery (from 10.0/16), 90% of adults 25-54 (from 4.8/12) and 88% of adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09).

COMANCHE MOON Part 2 of 3 (S) finished first in households (8.0/12), viewers (12.56m), second in adults 25-54 (3.4/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/06) from 9:00-11:00 PM.

COMANCHE MOON Part 3 of 3 (S) was first in households (7.5/12), viewers (12.13m), second in adults 25-54 (3.4/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/08) from 9:00-11:00 PM. Nielsen Media Research reports that 35.4m viewers watched all or part of COMANCHE MOON.

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (R) was first in households (9.1/14), viewers (14.15m), second in adults 25-54 (4.6/11) and adults 18-49 (3.5/09).

WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (8.8/15), viewers (13.29m), adults 25-54 (4.4/11) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.4/09, with NBC).

Friday, CBS was first in households (5.9/10), viewers (9.39m), adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08). CBS finished first in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 in every half-hour Friday night for the second consecutive week. Moonlight will not be in CBS repeat schedule as of February 22nd, 2008

CBS has issued a new press release regarding their Friday night schedule. We better enjoy the Moonlight reruns while we can. :( The Price is Right specials will be airing on Friday starting February 22nd, 2008 at 7:00 PM (CST). That is the Ghost Whisperer's time slot, so GW will move to 8:00 PM (CST) taking over Moonlight's spot. At least, it does say Moonlight will return "later this season." We just don't know when yet.

"THE PRICE IS RIGHT" RETURNS TO PRIME TIME WITH SIX NEW SPECIALS HOSTED BY DREW CAREY, AIRING FRIDAYS BEGINNING FEB. 22

THE PRICE IS RIGHT, hosted by Drew Carey, returns to prime time with six new specials to be broadcast on Fridays, beginning February 22nd, 2008 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. These will be the first primetime specials to be broadcast since Carey took hosting reins from former host Bob Barker.

During THE PRICE IS RIGHT six-week primetime run, GHOST WHISPERER will move to 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT. MOONLIGHT will return to the schedule later this season.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 9 - The fans have spoken. MOONLIGHT was chosen by the people as this year's "Favorite New TV Drama" on last night's telecast of THE 34th ANNUAL PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS on the CBS Television Network.

Alex O'Loughlin, who plays Mick St. John, a captivating, charming and immortal private investigator from Los Angeles, accepted the award on behalf of the cast via video from Australia.

This year, fans logged over 10 million votes for their favorites by logging onto http://www.pcavote.com/. Three categories, Favorite New TV Comedy, Favorite New TV Drama and Favorite User-Generated Video, were still open for voting during the first hour of the telecast.
