Video ~ TV Guide's new interview with Alex O'Loughlin

Video ~ TV Guide's website has a new interview with Alex O'Loughlin. Don't you just adore listening to his deep voice & drawling Australian accent? As always, he looks dreamy & is very candid :)

Transcript for a few of my favorite parts ~

Moonlight Fans, Alex O Wants a Word with You

It begins with a message to Moonlight fans that Alex filmed specifically for this video. "Hey, TVguide.com. It's Alex O'Loughlin from Moonlight. I play Mick St John. But, hopefully most of you know that already (Ooooooo yes, we know that, Alex!). This is a shout out to all the fans of mine and of the show. Thank you so much for your support. We won the People's Choice Award. We're back for a few more shows. And, we're gonna get that second season! So, see ya soon." I like the confidence he has in Moonlight being renewed. We will see him soon........ tonight! :)

Love how thoughtful Alex is in his answers even to questions he has been asked before. He discusses what came to mind when Moonlight & Mick were first offered to him. As we know, it was originally set to be a feature film starring Bruce Willis. Lucky for us.... the project became a tv show which brought Alex into our lives weekly!

I could watch this over and over just to hear Alex say "noir."

"The fans are crazy!" He puts a lot of emphasis on that word. hehehe.... "I love it man." Alex says he doesn't read much of what is written and has to be careful about what he does read because "Occasionally, you'll come across something that's like Oh, OUCH." First of all..... how adorable did he look while saying that? Secondly, who could say anything bad about him?!?!

"The fans love it so much. They're so.... They're so connected to these characters and they have so much invested in the stories and the future of these characters. You know, to the fans, Mick St John and Beth Turner exist. You know, and to me they exist too. They have to, otherwise there is no point. I have no place telling that story. But, I'm really grateful... like without... I don't know whether we'd be here without our fans."

I agree with Alex's description of how the fans are "invested" in the show. That is a very good description of how it feels. Like I am connected to these characters and I want things to be good for them. I worry about them. I crave their story. More! More!
Even listening to Sophia's opinions about the difficulty in long term relationships with these characters, I still want to see it all - right up to the end. Some stories just deserve our loyality. And this is one of them.
