Once I saw Moonlight I started checking out other things Alex had done-(including Oyster Farmer, Mary Bryant, The Shield, etc.) He's good in all of these things-BUT he absolutely SHINES in Moonlight. The chemistry he has with Sophia, (I've liked her since Underworld), the storyline, etc- this was an THE vehicle him.....

I think I know everything there is to know about Alex, and I like that. I'm still quite anxious to know how he is doing, and SOPHIA. I DVR'd OFarmer a few months back - it was on the Sundance Channel. LOVED HIM! The film is quite special. I've watched it about 5 times and I'm finally able to understand their English without using my headset. I first watched it straight and realized I was missing half the dialogue and then I put the telly on mute so the words would come up, wear my headset and then I'd read and listen at the same time, and realized just HOW FUNNY it was. I don't recall the actors name that played "Brownie", and since he's around my age I thought he was quite sexy too!!

However, I have to say as much as I love/adore Alex.....Mick St. John is who I want...I love that character AOL created. I remember an interview with Alex and someone asked him if he was like MSJ and he said not really....Mick was alot braver than he...I had to laugh at that.....jeez I'm going to miss the both of them!!

I'd like to say my first obsession was Ryan Gosling...interesting chap too.

I really really needed that today.

Also to lighten the mood, has anyone checked out the list of vampires that Eric Winter's character receives? It repeats Mick's and Josef's names several times and includes some hilarious names such as Elizabeth Bathory, Grigori Rasputin, Sir Thomas More, Julis Caesar, Augustus Germanicus, Francois de Sade, Richelius, and Virginia Dare (that mystery is solved at last). Pretty funny.

Yes, I noticed the names on the list and keep replaying it to see who else is on there. Did you notice "Delores Maxford Whittaker" (aka Lola)?

I'm with you Cobby - Alex is great - goodlooking, talanted actor, nice guy etc, but its Mick St John I adore. I don't think there is anyone else in the world of TV like him. I don't actually like watching Alex in anything else because they just don't compare to the hero our Mick was. I feel sick in the stomach knowing there is no more Mick and Beth - it almost feels like they are real. My husband thinks I have lost the plot!!!!
