CBS has canceled Three Rivers

Uh oh! CBS has canceled Three Rivers. Poor Alex! Unfortunately, he has been down this road before with our beloved Moonlight :(

CBS Pulls the Plug on Three Rivers
by Natalie Abrams

Once again, adoring fans must say farewell to
Alex O'Loughlin: His new medical drama, Three Rivers, has been canceled, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Effective immediately, the network will air repeats of
Criminal Minds and NCIS: Los Angeles instead of the organ-donor drama.

Rivers will complete production on all 13 episodes from the show's original order, but no decisions have been made on whether they will air.

The cancelation news would be more of a blow to CBS if it hadn't had such a successful fall with NCIS: LA and
The Good Wife. Rivers has been flatlining in the ratings, drawing an average of 7.5 million viewers, compared to Wife and LA's 13.7 million and 17.5 million respective averages.

What are you going to miss more: Alex O'Loughlin or Three Rivers?

I had a feeling this was going to happen. Poor Alex! The show was starting to grow on me too. I didn't like it nearly as much as Moonlight, though. I hope he can find something (maybe outside of CBS' jinx) that will stick and show the world how talented he is!

oh come on, not again!!
ok to tell you the truth i didn't really like the show, but it is so unfair for Alex :(
maybe we should send him some positive energy 'cause there's too much jinx around him!

I totally loved Moonlight and thought Alex was great so I watched Three Rivers because I wanted to support Alex. I'm not surprised that three Rivers was canceled.
I thought it was a terrible show but I kept watching it hoping that it would improve over time. It sure didn't.
This show seemed stifling to the acting abilities of all the actors and especially Alex. I liked Moonlight because it put Alex in different situations so that he was able to show a wide range of acting. Three Rivers really didn't do that at all. I mean come on Alex had to wear the same clothes every week and was almost always in the same environment. I still wish they would revive Moonlight. Good Luck Alex.
I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Poor Alex indeed. The show was really DOA and even if Alex could have revived it (for us fans at any rate) he wasn't given the chance because the part was too small and the writing gave the character little depth.

Alex - look somewhere else to display your considerable talent. CBS is obviously NOT IT.

Will miss Alex! CBS is stupid for casting him for that show. They should have him in a show that shows his acting abilities.

Lets hope CBS lets him go and he can find success elsewhere!

Don't care about Three Rivers being canceled. It was a bad show. Now they can put Moonlight back together. I would love to have my guilty pleasure back.

I watched Three Rivers only because of Alex. Still missing Moonlight and watch all the reruns. Alex needs to turn to his movie career. Forget CBS. He also needed more action than Three Rivers offered, I missed all the fight scenes in Moonlight. Still am boycotting CBS for cancelling Moonlight. Still bitter after all this time.

Oh I am gutted I reaaaaaally loved Moonlight. What are CBS thinking. Surely now Twilight and New moon are so popular now would be a great time to bring Moonlight back. I Love Alex !!!!
