What is in Mick St John's glasses of blood?

I know that many of you have wondered what exactly is in those glasses of blood that Mick St John drinks. Moonlight vampire blood has a base of organic pomegranate and is finished with a mixture of other berry juices ~ according to their great prop department. Sounds pretty good, huh? Would you think that I am weird if I said it has always looked yummy to me?! :>

You know...that's the best blood recipe I've ever heard on a show. Most of them use corn syrup and food coloring! LOL

They used something very similar during the filming of Forever Knight. You can actually buy it commercially -- it's called Ribena.

There have been a couple scenes where I thought the blood seemed too thin to me. But I'm glad the prop department makes is palatable!
