CBS list of renewed tv programs DOES NOT include Moonlight!

CBS issued a press release today listing the television shows that they are renewing for the 2008/2009 season. Moonlight is not on the list! A few months ago, CEO Les Moonves mentioned that The Big Bang Theory & Moonlight were the freshman series that were "likely" to get a second season. Big Bang Theory is on the renewal list. :( This is the reason we can not let up in supporting our show. It is imperative that the four new episodes airing the rest of this season (beginning April 11th) have huge ratings. Continue writing and calling the network, media shows and magazines, keep Moonlight and our stars at the top of Hey! Nielsen. Above all.... spread the word!

One last thing......... please, remember to be polite and concise whether writing or actually speaking to someone at CBS. Threatening to not watch the network ever again or being rude won't get us what we are trying so hard to achieve. Moonlight fans are a great bunch so I don't think it will be a problem. :)

This is a blow to me! I think CBS really has been playing with our minds! First, the good news about 4 new episodes, then bang, dropped a bomb! I am so upset. I don't understand why CBS doesn't want to give MOONLIGHT a chance to grow. It even won the PCA for Favorite New Drama. The ratings have been decent for Friday nights. During repeats, the show even beat out "Desperate Housewives" & new episodes of "Friday Night Lights" I thought Nina Tassler loved this show. "Big Bang Theory" had the similar rating like MOONLIGHT. So, why CBS renewed that show & not MOONLIGHT.

Kandye, do you know if this is set in stone? By the way, do you know if Kristen Dos Santos of Eonline know about this?

I will definitely write to Nina Tassler & Les Moonves, etc. like I did before. We need to be united.

Why are they dragging their heels with Moonlight? I'm so upset right now. I never considered that they might not renew it... I've left FB at CBS. What else can we do besides write to the addresses you've listed?

OHMIGOD NO. What the heck are they thinking?! We better not have to pull a Jericho and start mailing them thousands upon thousands of plastic vampire fangs. *pouts*

I simply can't understand CBS's hesitation to renew Moonlight! Surely they don't intend to spend $ on 4 new episodes just to cancel afterwards.

They have to renew ML. We must keep fighting.

I don't understand their thinking!!! As someone else posted, I think they like playing with our minds. It's mean spirited and not nice to the ML fans plus this gives CBS a bad rap....they probably don't care about that. PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD WINNER and not picked up for the 08-09 season. Goes to show you just how important that award is???

I love Moonlight, Mick/Alex - Beth/Sophia - Josef/Jason and Coraline/Shannon.

Long live Moonlight in our hearts and minds.

This is so frustrating! I cannot BELIEVE CBS is waiting to announce whether they'll renew or not. This is absolute TORTURE. Surely, the realize how many fans they have for Moonlight, right?! If not, they need to be told...NOW.

I am stunned... our Friday night gatherings clamoured around the TV to watch this show --- c;mon guys --- don't do this!!! Give us MOONLIGHT

Every once in a while a GOOD show comes along and someone decides to cancel. Moonlight has it all and the awards it has won should alert them to what the fans want. I look forward to Fri. nights and watch it over again via Tivo. The writers strike was so detrimental to the freshman shows. Remember Seinfeld? Almost canceled......
This show has an excellent cast that are good actors. Alex brings charm and grace to the part and a new twist to the genre......The reality shows make me ill!
I'll keep voting and praying that CBS wakes up and gives this show another (full ) season.

How can a show win a Golden Globe, capture the ratings before the writers strike in its time slot and not be renewed? I will think twice before watching CBS as I hate the fact that they started something and leave us hanging again. At least make it a Summer series - It's much better than Swingtown or anything else they have on right now.

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!

CBS WOULD RATHER SHOW A SERIES FULL OF VIOLENCE LIKE STUPID CRIMINAL MINDS THAN MOONLIGHT!!!!
IS THERE NOT ENOUGH VIOLENCE IN REAL LIFE????? MOONLIGHT IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOW ON T.V. WE DON'T NEED TO SEE ON T.V. WHAT WE HEAR ON THE NEWS EVERY DAY... PLEASE RETURN MOONLIGHT!!!!!!!

What the heck i just found out about the show and i think it is awesome and besides don:t u think it might get even a little more popular considering twilight just came out and there are a lot of vampire fans out there.
