BuddyTV interviews Jason Dohring about Moonlight and Josef

BuddyTV's Kris De Leon has a new, brief interview with Jason Dohring. He talks about our Josef getting more screentime on Moonlight. I am all for that! And, the possibility of fighting with a certain best friend. He is such a bad boy ;)

Tiny spoilers are in the article......

More Airtime for Jason Dohring on 'Moonlight'

As Josef Kostan, Jason Dohring gets to play a centuries old vampire and mentor to lead character Mick St. John. While he is considered to be part of the main ensemble of the CBS series, he hasn't had considerable exposure on canvas compared to lead stars Alex O'Loughlin, who portrays vampire private investigator Mick, and Sophia Myles, who plays reporter Beth and Mick's love interest. Gradually however, Dohring's airtime has improved towards the recent installments, especially with the episode "Sleeping Beauty," where his character reveals a secret he has kept for more than 40 years. Fortunately, he'll be playing a bigger part in the new episodes, which starts airing on April 25.

According to Dohring, fans can expect more fight scenes from his character in the coming installments of Moonlight.

“I go vampire for the first time, which you haven't really seen. It is pretty cool. That will be a really good scene,” the Moonlight actor revealed.

While most of the action will involve Mick and Josef teaming up to fight other vampires, Dohring is already hoping for his character to come to blows with best friend Mick.

“I hope soon, but for the most part I think it will be him and I kicking someone else's a**. But will I ever kick his a**? Maybe. Hopefully, because that would be kind of cool to see what that would be like. We'd both get a little bit of a beat down…They just haven't written it yet,” he said.

Just like co-star O'Loughlin, Dohring has a lot of interesting things to say about the new episodes of Moonlight. While better character progression, impressive musical scoring and more emotional storylines are just some of the things to look forward to, Dohring also hopes that the new storylines will eventually dwell on his character's bloodline and history.

Speaking of any possible fight scenes between Mick and Josef, I wonder how Mick is going to react with Josef for turning him back into a vampire? He might be peeved off with him for awhile....although he would not have been able to save Beth had he not done it.

Heya ~

I think... hope... that Mick will have a much different attitude about being a Vampire after this brief return of his humanity ~ especially since those vamp abilities allow him to save Beth.

I didn't read the sides or part of the script only the spoilers. Anyway, Mick won't peeved about it trust me. He'll be thankful, just leave it at that..I don't want to spoil it for anyone. After all he couldn't saev Beth if he was still human.
