A glimmer of hope for Moonlight!

Nikki Finke, from Deadline Hollywood Daily, is giving us a small glimmer of hope!

Primetime Pilot Panic: 'Moonlight' To CW?

EXCLUSIVE: I've just been told by an insider that "there is a chance, only a chance" that Media Rights Capital which will be programming Sunday's two hours on the CW "may elect to take Moonlight as one of those two hours". This is developing to be quite a behind-the-scenes drama because the order came from Warner Bros TV this afternoon to start tearing the Moonlight sets down. But now WBTV will wait until Friday. With 8 million viewers on CBS before being cancelled, Moonlight could wind up the most watched CW show. (Gossip Girl has 2.5 mil...)

Sorry I'm an Aussie so don't understand alot of this - is CW another network or a cable network? I've already read that Shannon, Eric and the guy who plays Guiermo(sorry don't know how to spell that) have already signed up to new shows so I'm thinking Alex, Sophia and Jason probably had contingency plans as well. Alex has already had to deal with a whole cast change so maybe he might have had enough. I certainly hope not and hold out hope Moonlight may live on somewhere..anywhere!!

Great news! I think the show will have a better life on the CW!

Thanks for the blog. You've done a great job.

The show would most certainly have a better home on the CW -- I have always said that. Anyone who enjoys Supernatural knows that they would be a lot bolder with the gothic elements of the Moonlight story.

To anonymous Aussie... yes the CW is a network channel. As I understand it (someone correct me if I am wrong) I believe Warner own CW... if so this could be a better thing all round.

Kandye... how do we reach the CW and/or this media group? We need to assure them immediately that if they take our show... they would be getting all 7.8m of us right out the gate!

I hardly dare hope... I was almost too sad to check my favorite fansite tonight. Now I am glad I did.

Oh please God---let it be! The CW is the PERFECT place for Moonlight! Someone must notice the potential for our fans to grow. Friday was never a good spot historically and if more people are home on a Sunday night with nothing to do, they might watch Moonlight and become as addicted as we are! To our Aussie friend, the CW is a network and carries shows like Smallville ( about a young Superman)and Supernatural (self-explanatory.)It is a perfect fit for Moonlight. FYI--"Guiermo" is spelled "Guillermo." :-)

I just hope our cast is not all gone yet---and the sets come down on Friday??!! Hurry up CW---we will love you forever!

Ok, I am feeling "alittle"
better. And, everyone is right...
It would be better for the show
to be on the CW. There is hope
and if we make our voices heard, and
believe me I have voiced my opinion
to as many places as I can, there
is hope that our magical Moonlight
can live on as it should!

I'm just saddened that they are not bringing it back, damned to hell the writer's strike. I can't believe that they would take a show like this that won People's Choice For Best New Drama and O'Laughlin was voted sexy newcomer and do this to us. If they weren't going to come back and already new that they shouldn't have ended the season like they did!!! I want to know what will happen with Beth and Mich now!! This reminds me of the show Veritas. It was an awesome show but then the war had started and was pre-empted by the damned news and it didn't survive. They didn't get in as many episodes as Moonlight did though. Come to think of it Veritas was on CBS as well. They must like frustrating fans of good shows by getting rid of them before they have a change. Imagine if they did that to Ghost Whisperer. People would have freaked.

This is one of the BEST shows ever! I have always been a fan of this genre.... Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Supernatural, all good shows, and all got a much better run than Moonlight. I hope for the best, if it comes back, you can bet I won't miss a show!

A really good series & something different like Moonlight & you have to take it off the air. Please bring it back ASAP!!!! Looks like a LOT of viewers want it back. I'm a 68 year old grandmother & watched every show. Loved it.

Moonlight is one of my favorite shows. My daughter loves it too. I'm 46, she's 26... It seems to appeal to a wide audience. I was shocked to hear they had cancelled it. Any chance someone might still bring it back?

Moonlight was the best show on TV. I looked foward to watching it on Friday night all week. Does anyone know if it ever got picked up by another network?

Maybe CBS's loss will be CW's gain along with ours.CBS obviously doesn"t want or need 8 million loyal viewers! Hhow wonderful that they made too much money lst year and can't be bothered with a show that won it's time slot everytime!

I hope they will bring back the show. It is my favorite vampire show! I watch True Blood but you could replace it with Moonlight anyday!

I just don't get it, how a show as good as "Moonlight" gets the axe. I've become leery of watching new series, as so many I've liked have been canceled, with no wrap-up episode.

My list begins with My So Called Life, and goes on to include the most recently canceled: Journeyman, Rome, The Tudors, Jericho, Crossing Jordan, The Nine, The Riches, Deadwood (wasn't there supposed to be a wrap-up movie for this one?), October Road...

All these good shows gone, yet "Reality" shows go on and on, like the Energizer Bunny.

Of all these cancellations, I believe "Moonlight" was the hardest to believe, and to replace.

Moonlight was my favorite show on Friday nights, I loved the suspense between Mick and Beth, it was great! Please bring the show back with the orginal cast, please! I hope whoever reads these blogs from all the fans, they realize the best thing would to bring the show back.

I e-mailed USA when I heard that might pick up the show and promised to BUY CABLE just to watch Mick every week. My husband and I are hurting for a good show like Moonlight to return and make TV bearable again.

I will follow this site and the updates until Moonlight is back where it belongs.

This was an entertaining smartly written show with excellent acting, a fresh concept, and nice character developement. With all the garbage on TV It's difficult to understand why Moonlight is not returning. A lot of people will watch this on any station.

Moonlight was my favorite show out of the whole week. It had drama, suspense, romance and always a good storyline. I couldn't believe it got cancelled. It was the best show on tv. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!

CW...PLEASE PLEASE pick up Moonlight! There will be even more fans who want to watch Alex! This is the only series that I've been remotely interested in and I miss it greatly. As much as I've loved all the cast, there would never be anyone like Alex. So Alex...please come back!

Absolutely the best show on TV. I am still not over its cancellation. Friday nights just aren't the same. It was the one show that my husband and I both agreed upon and watched together. Please, ANY network, please bring it back!

Why is it that when people love a show they take it off air. My husband and I don't like too many of the same shows but we watched Moonlight ever Friday night. I really hope they bring it back somewhere!

For all of us Moonlight fans the Sci-Fi network advertised tonight that Moonlight reruns will be on Friday nights at 9:00 p.m. EST. I checked our local listings and it is indeed on the TV schedule for this week.

Amazon is also showing that the DVD is supposed to be available January 20th.

It would have been a whole lot better if one of the networks could have picked up the show when CBS cancelled it.
