Primetime Pilot Panic: CBS Official Renewals; UPDATE: 'Moonlight' Cancelled; 'Shark' Kaput, Too
UPDATE: CBS has officially let veteran Moonlight know that it's been cancelled. The network even nixed any remote chance of a mid-season back 13-episode order. CBS also axed Shark, a show that deteriorated faster than a CSI corpse left out in the sun...
I'm told CBS today has officially let these veteran shows know they're renewed: Old Christine (WBT), Rules of Engagement (Sony/CBS Paramount), How I Met Your Mother (20th Century Fox TV), The Unit (20th Century Fox TV)

I'm heartsick, broken hearted and depressed. I hope Alex and Sophia and Jason are faring well. TVGuide.com has posted the cancellation and says Alex is on holiday. I sincerely hope he's in Australia around his people and Beth goes back to England to heal. Jason has his wife and family close by. Unfortunately he's probably used to this!!

PLEASE CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT CANCELLING MOONLIGHT, IT'S MY FAVORITE SHOW ON CBS! IN FACT IT IS THE NUMBER ONE SHOW HERE AND ALL THE GIRLS TALK ABOUT IT AT WORK! WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!
I can't believe that you are canceling moonlight! It's been one of the best shows that has been on in a long time. I couldn't wait from Friday until Friday to see what happened.you cancel the good shows and keep the worst!!! I truly hope you will change your minds about canceling Moonlight, one of the best shows that you have had.

CBS must be taking lessons from the government and getting kickbacks from the crappy shows! I never went out on a Friday night just so I could watch Moonlight. They have nothing I would stay home and watch anymore!!!
I think that it really sucks that cbs got rid of one of the best show that they even had!!! Hopefully they will chang their minds of maybe another(a better) station will pick it up!!!
I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT CBS GOT RID OF THE BEST SHOW THEY EVEN HAD ON AIR!! THAT IS CRAZY!! I MEAN REALLY THEY ARE KEEPING JERICO THAT IS THE MOST BORING SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN! WrgThe only two shows I watch on regular TV "Ghost Whisperer" and "Moonlight". I have it set on my DVR to record all the new episodes incase I have to miss them. PLease bring back Mick, he was good to look at and the story lines were great. Thanks for listening or maybe some other station can pick it up.
I cant believe you cancelled moonlight!!!!!!!! You brought back Jerico. I want you to bring back this show!!!! The show was a look into the fantasy alot of people dream about.
Why would you cancel a show like Moonlight???? It was interesting and exciting. The main characters had such chemistry. It was a show to look forward to on a Friday night. Now after watching Ghost Whispers its channel surfing again. Bring it back!!!!!! We want Mick back!!!!!!

can't believe that you would have all these reality shows on that most people don't care about. Moonlight was one of the best shows of the week. If you would bring it back your ratings may go up more. I really enjoyed watching it and couldn't wait until it came on again. PLEASE BRING MOONLIGHT BACK TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was poor decision making in cancelling this show. Moonlight was one-of-a-kind and made Friday night "staying in" worth while. I would hope that another station would pick it up...so sad to know it is really over.
this was one of the better shows and being back to back with Ghost Whisperer was perfect! I can't believe "Christine" didn't get cancelled - snore! The chemistry between Mick and Beth is awesome and Alex O'Loughlin has got to be the most handsome actor since Patrick Dempsey.... PLEASEEEEEE put the 13 episodes on during the boring winter season of reruns...

I thing CBS should bring back Moonlight or let another network pick it up. It is a wonderful show. Me and my daughter are hooked on it. I was totally ticked off when I found out they had canceled it. What pencil pushing dunce decided to do that?? If CBS isn't talking about bringing it back then they need to get off of the ball and let someone else (another network) pick it up. This is a show that a lot of my friends and I would watch over and over and over again. Do the right thing and bring it back or let another network bring it back. Must know what happens with Mick and Beth!!!!
Just discovered this series and absolutely loved it! It's way better than True Blood to me - less gorey and dark. Love the storylines! It was riviting to watch back to back episodes1 I agree with most of the comments above - CBS must be run by really stupid decision-makers to have canceled such a gripping show??? They could bring it back now since Vampires are hot and trendy and it would appeal across most demographics because of it's universal themes as well as Vampire storyline. CBS execs may be too thick to get this though!
