SPOILER ALERT! Mick St John (Alex O'Loughlin) & Beth Turner (Sophia Myles) scene from Moonlight's season finale ~ Sonata (episode #1x16).
Extended version! This video is of the last act from tonight's Moonlight episode ~ Sonata (#1x16). It is the final emotional scene between Mick and Beth. Beginning with his arrival at her apartment and Beth tearfully declaring "I don't think I can do this anymore." Mick finally tells her that he loves her. Our last view of MickBeth is of them kissing.
Mick Voiceover ~ "I've spent the past 55 years trying to close the door on forever, but I can't anymore. I can't close the door on Beth."
Mick ~ "You want to know what Emma & Jackson made me realize? That you were right. You were right all along. This isn't about being a Vampire or a human. This is about us. How we feel about one another. Right here, right now!"
Beth ~ "The night that we first met.... or met again, whatever. What was I wearing."
Mick ~ "Blue jeans, white striped shirt, cream jacket."
Beth ~ "What about my shoes?"
Mick ~ "You were barefoot."
Beth ~ "How can you remember that?"
Mick ~ "Because I love you"
Kissing..... and then, the door shuts........

Kandye,
Thanks for posting that clip. I wanted to see it again and will probably watch it over and over tomorrow.
Why isn't the rest of the blog showing up? You aren't taking it down tonight are you? Is it just temporary while you are adding more posts?
It's killing me slowly Kandye...:) Thanks. I can hardly wait to see the whole thing tonight(20 minutes and counting). I can't believe this show is ending...crap
That's the best scene in this whole episode! Set's my imagination off and running.
Kandyegirl...
Best scene of the night still in tears cannot bear this much longer...need our Moonlight back...
I was trying to send you a message i am trying to buy Moonlight Episodes on Amazon unblog but it is telling i cannot because i live in canada, is there any other way i can buy the episodes? Please help, need to have them with me forever!!!! Please get back to me a.s.a.p...
Thank you Kandyegirl...hope you are doing okay...
Be still my heart! *sigh* That was wonderful. Bittersweet, but oh-so-wonderful.
I can't help but cry as I watch this. My heart hurts, I just can't stand it.
God, what an ending. I don't understand how they can say no to this show.
Oh my God!!! They can't leave us like that! We need to see their interaction in the aftermath! No wonder Alex said these episodes feel like a beginning, not an ending. I feel frustrated not to see their relationship blossom as they come across inevitable issues of being turned or not, etc.. Can their love withstand all the potential problems they would have surely encountered?? CBS, I hate you---you are a bunch of imbeciles---and CW or SCI-FI, you would be fools not to pick up this show!
Beautiful Episode. the ending was so emotional. especially the very last scene with Mick outside the with his head on the wall crying and Beth with her head against the wall in her home crying, OMG!! so emotional, then when he said "I love you" I lost it right there. This is not the end it is just the beginning, we have to keep on fighting for this show. The WB and CW are still negoitating, also, keep up with emial, phones at SciFi and USA. I'm ready for season 2
WOW..beautiful!! I'm speechless. It's the best episode I've seen. It has everything :). Love, passion, action, betrayal, punishment..ohh.
I cannot believe CBS cancelled such a wonderful show.
Again, I loved sonata and MickBeth *sighs*
Thank you again, Kandye. You rock!
Can you believe that we lost our cable reception 3 times during this episode??? And the last time was the last 5 minutes. I missed the whole scene and I had recorded it!!! I am sick!
Anonymous(who lost cable reception),
Wait until tomorrow and then keep checking Amazon ---they always bring the latest episode of Moonlight for sale to play on your comp instantly for $1.99. Always within 24 hours of the showing. I have 15 eps now on my comp and will be watching #16 probably sometime tomorrow over and over! You CAN NOT miss it!
I got up this morning and had to watch this again.
Here are my thoughts:
Both the Josef/Simone attachment and the 150 year marriage were ways to show stages that Mick & Beth may have to get to.
Mick said "I love you" not "I am IN love WITH you"... always better for someone to love you than be in love -- lasts longer :)
Josef may be ready to move on at last -- with another human. Was the dedication of the hall to Sarah a sign that he may finally have let her slip away?
If someone is setting up Talbot to go all van Helsing, I think we saw tonight that the Vamp community can take care of itself and deal with those kind of potential threats.
Is Talbot a "Van Helsing" type... or for those who remember "Highlander" is he (and the voice on the phone) a "watcher"?
Too much.... too much there to leave it now.
We gotta keep making noise. SOMEONE has to see this show needs another season!!!
No show can do ending like Moonlight. My heart dropped when Mick walked out of Beth's place, I thought that was the cliffhanger Jason Dohring was talking about. But thank God, the scene continued to the beautiful & emotional Mick/Beth moment. I cheered when Mick said "Because I love you" to Beth. Of course, my tears started to flow knowing this was the last episode. I will forever tresure this ending, and all the other endings.
Thank you, Kandye, for posting this memorable final scenes of Mick/Beth. I have played this numerous times already.
how are we going to get moonlight back?
This was an incredible episode!! I can't stand the thought of not getting our show back!! Let's keep writing or calling. I think Sci-Fi and USA are a possibility to pick up ML. Personally, I do think it will happen. The CBS board is deleting posts with contact info, so check this and the other fan sites for the most recent updates and contact info.
If this is truly the end - how fitting for Mick to say the final words "because I love you". The journey of Mick from the angry, betrayed, & broken man we met in the first episode to the happy-in-love guy we now know has been amazing. Ironically it was Coraline who took his life 50 years ago and it was her who gave it back to him in the form of Beth.
