Touching message from Trevor Munson to Moonlight fans!

Trevor Munson is the writer who dreamt up Mick St John. He has written a heartfelt, thoughtful message to his fans! We have marvelous, unpretentious people involved with our show. I can't think of any other production that can boast of such a fan friendly and grateful group.... from the writers to our cast and crew :)

In addition to expressing his thanks, Trevor also urges everyone to come give blood at the event he is hosting. To donate blood, go to then enter Moonlight as the sponsor. As I wrote previously, I know that you will make him and all Moonlight fans proud with your donations.

Those of us who are not lucky enough to attend his blood drive in person can donate $$$ instead.

Good news ~ Trevor's mom is doing very well since her procedure! *cheer*

When I was writing the novel that Moonlight was based on, I hoped to connect with those who read it one day in the way one does when creating a work of fiction. I hoped it would entertain and perhaps even inspire people in positive ways in their own lives. Eventually that novel evolved into a television show, and it was wonderful to see that eight million people a week tuned in because they liked the premise, enjoyed the stories, and cared about the characters. But nothing could have prepared me for the way that Moonlight fans took their love for the show and carried it out into the world in real and meaningful ways. Because of them, people across America and the globe, have linked themselves to blood centers and orchestrated blood donation efforts on behalf of the show they came to love.

What better than a show about vampires to raise awareness about the need for blood and get people to give?

I am told that a single pint of blood saves three lives. The most recent blood drive held in the name of the show resulted in the collection of 3,165 pints, potentially saving the lives of 10,495 people. It is a precious gift we can so easily give. As someone with a mother who is in the process of going through a bone marrow transplant, I have seen first hand just how much blood and bone marrow donation can help a family who might otherwise have lost a loved one.

Even more amazing, despite the recent cancellation of the show, rather than give up and go away as they might have done, the fans have continued their efforts to raise blood and awareness. More blood drives are being planned even as I write this. It is humbling and wonderful to have been a part of creating something that has served as a catalyst for so much good. I thank you all, and would like to take this opportunity to invite others (fans of the show or not) to come and join us in the spirit of the goodwill and giving at these events.

"The novel I wrote that Moonlight was based on". What is the name of this novel that Trevor wrote? Is it available? I'll buy it in a nanosecond!

Hey Anonymous ~

Trevor's novel is called "Angel of Vengeance." At this time, it is unpublished. He has posted the first few chapters of the book on his MySpace blog. FYI ~ Mick St John (or Mick Angel) is different in the novel than on the tv show.

I know you... and I'm sure all Moonlight fans... would rush out to grab a copy. Trevor has mentioned the possibility of having the book published, depending on what happens with Moonlight.

XO ~
