Moonlight mentioned in article about new poster for HBO's True Blood television series

Speaking of the current Vampire frenzy keeping Moonlight in the minds of entertainment reporters, bloggers and critics........ Jane Boursaw, from TV Squad, mentions our show in her post about the new True Blood tv show poster issued by HBO.

"Thou shall not crave thy neighbor"

HBO releases True Blood poster (time to stock up on strawberry jam)
by Jane Boursaw

Ewww! This poster is so creepy, it makes me want to hurl! And watch this show! Of course, the fact that Alan Ball is behind it -- the man who helmed one of my favorite shows ever, Six Feet Under -- has nothing to do with it. Nope, it doesn't. Okay, I'm lying. It has everything to do with it.

HBO's True Blood, starring Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, is set to premiere on Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. Here's the newly released poster for it. Makes you want to dig into a jar of strawberry jam, doesn't it?

Based on Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire novel series, the show follows the world of vampires set in small-town Louisiana. They're able to co-exist with humans by drinking a Japanese-manufactured synthetic blood. (Well, what fun is that?!)

We'll learn more about the show later this week at Comic-Con 2008, where a panel is scheduled. Also, check out the official web site.

And what is up with all the vampires lately? We've still got loyal fans mourning the loss of Moonlight, and on the big screen, vampire devotees everywhere await the release of Twilight, based on the books by Stephenie Meyer, on Dec. 12, 2008.

Are vampires the new wizards? Or are we just a blood-crazed society at the moment?

We need help at Hey Nielsen!
OUCH. This REALLY hurts me to the depths of my soul. Why, fans? Why have you stopped supporting MOONLIGHT and the cast? The show is not gone and will only go if we let it. We're telling TPTB that we're fickle fans. We raise a small ruckus and then quietly fade away. I guess if we're not made of stronger stuff than that then we deserve to lose MOONLIGHT.

These rankings today are the worse I've seen and we lost our placing on 3 cast members. So what are we going to do about it. Continue to show that we don't know how to fight and we've given up or get to HN and show that we love our show and cast and we will keep them at the top until MOONLIGHT returns.

July 22

MOONLIGHT 1786 down from 1831 - 45

Alex 962 down from 1007 - 45

Kyle Schmidt 534 up from 510 + 24

Sophia 528 down from 551 - 23

Jason 505 down from 518 -13

Blood Ties 362 up from 350 + 12

Shannyn 359 down from 366 - 7
As you can see we need a lot of help!

Buuuu I miss Moonlight :(

I loved Moonlight. It's the first TV show I never missed since Buffy and I'm an older fan. It was terribly romantic--and different. I am looking forward to Twilight, but if it weren't for Alan Ball, I might not subscribe to HBO for this series. I didn't care for the books that much. Okay. Not great.

From what I've heard, Moonlight is dead in the water, totally. Yeah, that's miserable news, but I am thinking all the actors have moved on.

I'm old enough to remember The Kindred. It's the same kind of thing.

I really liked "Six Feet Under" too, and I will be tuning in to see "True Blood" as well. I also read the 3 "Twilight" books and I liked "Blood Ties" BUT nothing has my heart like MOONLIGHT. I have NEVER been effected by a TV show like I was about MOONLIGHT.
