I watched the re-run. It was great seeing them again on Friday nite. Does this mean that Sci-Fi is going to continue the show after the final episode or are they just running the first season to fill a spot? I made numerous calls that night to tell them to turn on the SciFi to see their favorite vampire again, and everyone went crazy! We are all keeping our fingers crossed!! Sheri

It was great to have Moonlight back on a Friday, wasn't it? Even as a repeat. I wish it could mean SciFi would pick it up and go on with it after Ep #16, but from everything I have read it doesn't look likely, especially given than Alex remains under contract to CBS and the other cast members all seem to have moved on.

That said, I hear rumors that CBS is broke... a bit worrying for Alex as he has remained firmly associated with them while everyone else is signing up elsewhere and while they are staying in the limelight (somewhat) only WE the Alex fanbase are keeping him "in the news". I have said before that I worry about Alex staying under wraps like this. It will soon be a year since Moonlight ended and actors (even the ones with Alex's charisma) have to stay in the public eye. That said I am sure Sci Fi's Moonlight will get him some new fans and of course the rest of us are there every Friday.

You can always hope (and I intend to) that something will happen to allow Sci Fi to do more with Moonlight - if not a new series than even a TV special would be something.

Roll on next Moonlight Friday!

Hey, I watched the first episode of Moonlight for the first time on Friday and I'm hooked. I immediately got all of the episodes and blew through them in two days. But it's over? How sad. :(

I hope it does well on Sci-fi and they decide to pick it up again. Any chance of that happening?

I should have paced myself...

Anon #5!!! One down... how many more to go? 1000s I hope. Anon 5, you are the first to post here of the "new Moonlight fans". I am sure this repeat showing on SciFi will get lots more new fans who missed the first run on CBS largely due to CBS's poor promotion of the show and the broken up season due to the writer's strike. I can understand Anon #5's astonishment that CBS quit this show. After the PCA, ~8m viewers on a Friday night and the loyal fanbase... so are we... but they did, go figure.

We are all hoping something more might come of this. I will keep hoping no matter what. ...And keep watching.

Oh, and btw #5, you may find yourself watching and re-watching, like so many of us. I was going to "pace myself" and not watch any on my iPod while I waited for the SCiFi season to start... but I did. And I STILL loved it on Friday night. It never goes stale for me and for 1000s of us who fell in love with it the first time around. Welcome to the Moonlight Army. Vampire solidarity. Rah Rah Rah!

It was great seeing Moonlight and the gang on Friday night. Wonder what the ratings were? I can't find this info.

Just started renting the season from netflix and I'm hooked!! - I think with the new strong interest in this genre, they would be stupid to not make a season 2. True Blood and Twilight have really set the scene for anything vampire related. And although I've read all those books - and watched the tv show/movie - they don't compare to Moonlight. While the Charlaine Harris books were amazing, the show lacks something. The acting sucks too. And Twilight - don't get me started. The books were absolutely awful! Yet the books and the movie got such a response. All that said - there will be a lot more people interested in this series with the genre taking off. Please please please!!! We need a season 2!!!!!

I just discovered Moonlight when the Chiller channel had the marathon in November. I recorded the entire series and have been watching and re-watching ever since. Terrific show! Great chemistry between Mick and Beth, really the stuff that dreams are made of. Really bad programming decision by CBS not to renew the show. Especially since it was on before Twilight, True Blood and the latest vampire craze. Would love to see it return to any channel and continue as a series!
