Mister Foe released on DVD

Sophia Myles film, Mister Foe, has been released on DVD! It is the role for which she won the BAFTA as Best Actress (the movie is known as Hallam Foe in Europe). The film had a limited theatrical release in the US, so most of us did not get to see it on the big screen. *pout* Reviews have been glowing! Here's a link in case you wanna order your own copy of the DVD......

Video of Sophia Myles' appearance on Craig Ferguson's show

The great Absolutely Sophia has provided a video of Sophia Myles' new interview from the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. She is supposed to be there to promote the release of her movie, Mister Foe, in the States. However, they don't really talk that much about the film... which usually happens on Craig's show. He is so funny. A brief preview clip of our girl being seductive, in Mister Foe, is shown.

Craig kept talking about Vampires before Sophia comes out. I knew that meant he would ask her about our show. When he wonders why Moonlight was canceled, she simply replies "I don't know."

We find out that Sophia's work visa expires next June, and she plans to stay at least until then. Often, she has said how much she is loving California. In this chat, she admits that she wouldn't mind becoming a US citizen.

Sophia's wallet was stolen! URGH! On top of that, she didn't even like the movie she was seeing at the time. For those who haven't heard of it, she is talking about Don Cheadle's new action/spy flick, Traitor.

I've received lots of mail from those asking who Sophia Myles is dating. Now you have your answer. According to what she told Craig, she does not currently have a boyfriend.

Hmmmmmm..... she also says that she doesn't have a pet. Around Christmas of last year, she got a puppy named Jackson. What happened to him? :(

Do they not use the "shame on you" sign in the UK? Cute that Sophia had never heard of it.

Hollywood Outbreak has a brief audio interview with our girl. She talks about being a preacher's daughter and doing sex/nude scenes in the movie. Sophia has such a good sense of humor. Great laugh!

SOPHIA MYLES: PRETTY RACY FOR A VICAR’S DAUGHTER

In DAVID MACKENZIE’S new drama, MISTER FOE, JAMIE BELL (BILLY ELLIOTT, JUMPERS) plays a disturbed young man who becomes involved with an almost equally disturbed young woman played by SOPHIA MAYLES (THUNDERBIRDS).

We caught up with the two young stars to talk about the film, their love scenes and the nudity. SOPHIA didn’t think it was a big deal…JAMIE wasn’t exactly in full agreement.

Sophia Myles Wins Bafta Scotland's Best Actress Award

Sophia Myles has won Bafta Scotland's Best Actress Award for 2007! The win is for her role as Kate Breck in the film "Hallam Foe." Her name was one of only two that were submitted in the Best Actress category. Strong roles for women are few and far between. That is sad! At least our Sophia found a good one. Perhaps the publicity surrounding her lack of competition will compel writers to create more challenging characters for actresses.

Congratulations Sophia!!!!!!

"Hallam Foe" screened in the US at the Chicago International Film Festival held last month. The name was changed to "Mister Foe" for the fest. If it is given a full release in the US it may not be until March of 2008. Apparently, there is an issue with whether it should be shown in movie theaters here or just on television.
