Moonlight finally returns to Aussie television

More fab news! We all remember the frustration our Aussie friends felt last year when Channel 9 abruptly stopped airing Moonlight midway through season one at 12:04 (episode #1x08). Moonlight is returning to Australian television! It's about time! For this outing, our show will air on Channel Nine's new network, called GO! Instead of starting up with the next episode (Fleur De Lis #1x09), GO! is beginning from ~ well ~ the beginning *grin* Moonlight's pilot episode (No Such Thing as Vampires #1x01) hits on Thursday, August 13th, 2009 @ 9:30 pm.

Alex O'Loughlin on EW's list of sexy Aussies

Guess who is on Entertainment Weekly's list of 26 Superhot Australian Exports... that's right... Alex O'Loughlin! Of course, they would have never lived it down if he had not been included. Funny, my friends & I have made our own list of sexiest Aussies many, many times ;)

Others who made the cut ~ Simon Baker, Hugh Jackman, Ryan Kwanten, Yvonne Strahovski, Cate Blanchett, Emilie De Ravin, Eric Bana, Julian McMahon, Guy Pearce and Keith Urban.

26 Superhot Australian Exports

ALEX O'LOUGHLIN

With his longish hair, chiseled facial features, and strategically unbuttoned shirt, the Moonlight star looked like he could have graced the cover of a romance novel — not just the promos for his now-canceled show. Up next is Whiteout, an Antarctica-set thriller with Kate Beckinsale. Here's hoping they find lots of excuses for O'Loughlin's parka to come off.

Alex O'Loughlin and Holly Valance have broken up

According to the Australian newspaper, The Daily Telegraph, Alex O'Loughlin and Holly Valance have gone their separate ways. The two had been dating for over three years. Not very happy relationship news for Valentine's weekend. Since the report is from an Aussie source, the focus is mostly on Holly. As we have noted previously, the entertainment media in Australia consider her to be the bigger star.

Holly Valance splits
By Ros Reines

LA stars Holly Valance and Alex O'Loughlin have split after being an item for nearly four years. The couple, there for each other throughout their careers in America, have unfortunately grown apart.

Former Neighbours star Valance has seen her fortunes change as her recording career gave way to acting.

Most recently, she was in the thriller Taken with Liam Neeson, but she has also scored guest roles in television shows including Prison Break and Entourage.

Although O'Loughlin's vampire series Moonlight was taken off the air, he used it to catapult himself into film roles, starring in the forthcoming Whiteout with Kate Beckinsale.

Australian Cosmopolitan leaves Alex O'Loughlin off list of Homegrown Hunks

Cosmopolitan Magazine Australia recently complied their list of "Homegrown Hunks." Shockingly, Alex O'Loughlin is not included among the 26 choices! They pick men like the one pictured above (Sorry for singling you out, Curtis Stone)... but... don't recognize Alex's beauty?!? At least, they were smart enough to select Hugh Jackman and Simon Baker. However, Alex is much better looking and sexier than the majority of men on the list. I'm sure that you will agree. Lots of people have already left comments asking why Alex is missing. Click on the link below to see the entire list of "hunks."

Australia's Cleo Magazine interviews Alex O'Loughlin

Australia's Cleo Magazine has a new interview with our Alex. Candid and funny as ever!

Five minutes with… Alex O'Loughlin

He's got a supporting role amongst a phenomenal cast of the new film August Rush (in cinemas now) and plays the lead in the US TV series Moonlight (which airs on Channel Nine). Plus, he's dating the gorgeous Holly Valance.

How often do you get back here?

Alex O'Louglin ~ "I get back as regularly as I can. This year's been good because I've had a couple of times where my family have actually come out to LA which is the first time. I moved there three years ago and was commuting back and forth for a few years before that. So this is really the first time I've had my peeps over there and it's just lovely to show them where I live and all that sort of thing."

How hard was it when you first hit LA as an actor?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "Pretty hard. For the first few years when I was going back and forth, that's one thing, because you've always got a return trip in your back pocket so you can go back anytime. But it's frustrating and such hard work, there's so many people you have to meet. It wasn't till I packed the final bag and took the one-way ticket and made the final move. The first year was very difficult for me and there were a lot of times in the first year when I wanted to shut up sticks and leave. My car got written off and my stuff got stolen I had in storage, which was pretty valuable and all this stuff happened and I was thinking, ''What am I doing? ''. So there were a couple of times where I was thinking of pulling the pin but the people around me, my mates over there and my mates here, kept reminding me that these are really the months that determine the man you are. It paid off."

What was it like to get a part in a film (August Rush) with such an amazing cast?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "I read that script and I knew I had to be a part of it. I know that sounds corny, but I was like, ''I'll kick down doors to get something in this'', because it was such a wonderful script. Kirsten Sheridan, the writer-director, her father Jim Sheridan is one of my all time favourite directors who's an absolute genius. I also have a real affinity with the music [that is part of the storyline], it's not something I'm really good at but it's something I really love. And I ended up playing my own guitar in the movie and I learned every song we ever played. I started out going for the lead, which was Jonathan Rhys Myers character, but in the end I'm not a name and they needed a name to fill the lead. I put so much into these auditions and I recorded two songs and played them in there and did three pages of thick Irish brogue singing, so it was quite a production to get a gig on, but once I got the role Kirsten and I became mates pretty quickly and she developed a role and made it about three times the size it was and really fleshed it out for me. It was tricky, because I had to accept a local hire which is a kind of contract with Warner Brothers where I had to find my own accommodation and being in New York for four months, you do the maths, you don't end up making money doing a film like that, but to have it on your résumé, these are the sacrifices you make."

Is it frustrating that it takes so long from filming to release in projects?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "I like theatre so much because there's that immediate satisfaction and that immediate acknowledgement. From two minutes of walking on stage there will be an audience to respond and you'll see the tone of the audience. It's a whole other animal then when you film. All this time passes and you grow as a person and you change as a person so much. So it can be a little daunting in that respect and then you've got obligations when it first comes out to go and back it up and do promotion. I try to see everything I'm in once, but I'm not comfortable doing it. I find it excruciating."

What do you like about LA?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "I really like the weather, because I can ride motorbikes all year round."

Are you a motorbike addict?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "Yeah, I am. The studios hate it. That's just something I've always loved."

Do you have a favourite place?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "I've got a lot of favourite spots. I love being close to so many different getaways — it's like Australia in that sense. I had some family over at my joint a couple of months ago, which is in the West Hollywood Beverley Hills area, and we got on the freeway and in an hour and a half we were in the most beautiful alpine country in Lake Arrowhead, in the middle of the lake fishing. Then we got in the car a few days later and we were all rugged up because it was snowing. Drive a bit more and we were in the middle of the dessert and floating round the pool — it's mad to be able to do that.

But it has taken me a long time to get used to the way LA is you know because there's heaps of surgery, heaps of sex and there's so much on show. Whereas Australia's different, we don't subscribe to that bullshit. I found it quite confronting, but I'm at the point where you just plug in for it."

Is it hard seeing Holly in kissing scenes?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "You don't wanna see someone you love intimate with another person. I mean, it's a crap situation, but it's part of the deal. You really have to grow up with that stuff quite quickly. It's a strange teenage angst you get. Like, ''Get your hands off my girlfriend''. But it's natural. I'd be a bit concerned if I didn't feel anything. The thing is, you have 50 crew members around you, a boom up your ass and a camera up your nose so, I you've got to keep it in perspective and not sweat it too much."

How would your friends describe you?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "My friends would say I'm dependable, a joker, intelligent. I'm multi-talented, probably because I'm so ADD. I can also be quiet."

How would you describe your fashion clothing style?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "I think I'm casual, I think I'm a little rock casual, streety-casual."

Do you go for girls who are blonde and busty, brunette and cute, sporty and tanned or intelligent and shy?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "I don't have a type. I like pretty, smart, funny girls."

Who did you idolise when you were growing up?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "I had an Iron Maiden poster, I idolised Johnny Depp and Monkey in Monkey Magic. My mum made me that gold crown he used to wear."

What would you spend your last $5 on?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "Probably a bus ticket out of wherever I am."

How do you usually spend weekends?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "Surrounded by music and my people."

Do you have any pet peeves?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "People who still believe in the class system, and people who fart and don't admit it. The only other thing I hate is when Australian people talk like 'Oz-stray-ya'."

Anyone you would love to meet?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "I would really love to meet Al Gore at the moment actually."

Five years from now, where would you like to live?

Alex O'Loughlin ~ "On a beach somewhere in Australia."

August Rush is in Australian cinemas now.

New interview with Alex O'Loughlin in Australia's Sunday Life Magazine

Alex's film, August Rush, just premiered in Australia. The Australian newspaper, Sun Herald, included a new article & interview with him in the Sunday Life magazine insert. What a sweet description he gives of his mom's reaction to his visits. Again, he mentions the crazed fan girls scaring him. Poor baby! ;> Our Lt Carl, Brian J White, is also briefly quoted. Even his co-stars recognize that Alex has that "It" factor denoting a star. CBS is soooo lucky to have snatched him up before anyone else. I hope they remember that when making their renewal decision in May.

Click on the scan above for a larger version. Note ~ according to Alex, he was born on August 24th in 1976, which would mean he's 31 years old.

Sunday Life Magazine

Profile ~ Alex O'Loughlin

Why he looks familiar :
Another NIDA graduate, class of 2000, O'Loughlin starred in 2004's The Oyster Farmer but got his break in the US as the star of Moonlight, a TV series about vampires, which aired on Channel Nine. "I've got a six-year contract [with Moonlight], so I just try to keep my head down. I don't wash dishes any more; that's the main thing."

Why you should care :
After the Moonlight pilot aired, producer Joel Silver realised the show wasn't up to scratch and replaced the entire cast - except O'Loughlin. "A lot of times you do a pilot... and you know if pieces aren't working. And I think they knew right away they had a star in Alex and they just rebuilt around him," said co-star Brian White.

Birthplace :
Born in Canberra but grew up in Sydney. "My parents divorced when I was two. From the age of 10, I went back and forth between the two cities."

Marital Status :
He's been dating Aussie singer and former Neighbours star Holly Valance for the past 18 months and says, "It's going strong."

Family ties :
"Mum's a musician. She plays piano and has a beautiful voice, so she understands the creative need." But that doesn't mean she misses her son any less now he's living in LA. "Mum lights up when she sees me. Her cheeks go pink - she's all over me, pulling my hair, pinching my cheeks." O'Loughlin also has a sister, 31, whom he describes as a "multi-talented volleyball player, gypsy chef."

Bitten young :
"I was in a school play when I was 10 and had fish sticks stuck up my nose and I was wearing these spectacles and making the audience laugh. I remember the rush and knew I loved it."

Surreal moment :
O'Loughlin was taking a break from filming on Moonlight on the Warner Brothers' lot one day when a cart full of sightseeing women laid eyes on him. "They started screaming at the top of their lungs - it scared the shit out of me."

The move to the US was tough :
"There was a whole year, in 2005, when I wasn't getting anywhere. I had to sell my stereo and a few other things. I got my motorbike stolen, it was miserable. I was sleeping on a mate's office floor questioning my talent - that was really difficult."

Home is where the work is :
"I love the Australian industry but it's a boutique industry - the US is where it is." And while O'Loughlin admits that's changing, he can't wait around. "If I want to buy a house, I'd have to stay in Australia making movies for a hundred years."

Career highlight :
Auditioning for Casino Royale. "The screen test for James Bond was a real 'pinch yourself' moment I'll never forget."

Inspiration :
"Daniel Day-Lewis is amazing. Ryan Gosling is also an incredible actor; he's also a friend of mine... well, an acquaintance."

Next :
August Rush, with Robin Williams, is out on Thursday.

Australia ~ Who Spotlight Interview with Alex O'Loughlin

Annette Dasey has written a new piece, for Who Spotlight, that is part article and part interview with our Alex O'Loughlin. We already know the information, but every interview is worded differently ~ including one curse word in this one, that is not spelled out. *grin* Plus, we could never grow tired of Alex!

The magazine is featuring him because his film, August Rush, will have its Australian premiere on February 21st, 2008. I'm glad they published an Alex article to promote the movie.... and him :)

Click on the image above for a larger version. What a cute photo of Alex and Holly! I will also type out the interview for you here to make it easier to read.

Alex O'Loughlin ~ Holly's hottie steps up with two racy new roles
by Annette Dasey

Until a year ago, actor Alex O'Loughlin was, by his own admission, such a nobody in Los Angeles that he "couldn't get arrested." Living on baked beans and building work since arriving in 2005, his luck changed a year later when he met a certain starlet.

"I was helping a friend with a pergola and Holly [Valance] came over - they were mates," says ex-Sydneysider O'Loughlin, who is best known here for the 2004 film Oyster Farmer and 2005 miniseries The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant. "I was like, `She's so hot,` but she played it really cool. As it turned out, she was more of a fan than she let on."

The pair shacked up in Hollywood, where O'Loughlin was known for losing the James Bond role to Daniel Craig - "How gutted was I? I didn't think I was going to get it. It was a f--ing fantastic experience. I've held the gun!" - and (erroneous) reports that he is the son of AC/DC rocker Bon Scott. "My dad didn't care [about the rumours] but my mum was upset," says the 31 year old, whose father is a physics teacher and mother a nurse. "Being viewed as a charlatan worried her."

Then he landed a part in TV crime series The Shield and a supporting role in August Rush, a magical drama (opening on Feb. 21) starring Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Robin Williams, about an orphan who is sure his parents are alive. O'Loughlin, whose son Saxon, 10, is in Australia, and Rhys Meyers shared an apartment in New York while making the movie. "We'd work out and see bands," says O'Loughlin.

Nabbing the lead in vampire TV series Moonlight means O'Loughlin has less time with Holly : "We'd prefer to be together more. You want to be with someone you love, but you adapt."

Photo captions ~

O'Loughlin's ability to empathise with other people and roles is "quite astounding," says Tony Knight, NIDA's head of acting.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers (left) and O'Loughlin play brothers in August Rush.

Moonlight's Australian Television Ratings for Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Last night, Australia's Channel Nine aired the final Moonlight episode ~ 12:04 (#1x08) ~ that it has scheduled for now. As I reported previously, Channel 9 has decided to remove our show (along with 3 others) from their lineup since the summer season is ending & the ratings period beginning. No word yet on if/when the remaining four episodes will be shown. You know that I will give you that info as soon as I have it. Several Aussie blog readers have told me that they have written and called Nine to protest.

All of Moonlight's great episodes are available for viewing on YouTube.

Moonlight's Australian television ratings for 12:04 (episode #1x08) which aired on Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 ~ 688,000 viewers. It is #22 on the ranking chart.

Poster of Alex O'Loughlin in Australia's TV Week Magazine

Australia's TV Week Magazine is featuring Alex O'Loughlin again! This time, they have a great 2 page photo poster of him as Mick St John in Moonlight. I called upon my pal, Alida, to get it for me to share with you. She came through for us, as usual :)

Moonlight's 12:04 (episode #1x08) will be Australia's last episode for now

Australian Channel Nine will air Moonlight's 12:04 (episode #1x08) on Wednesday, January 30th, 2008. That will be the last episode shown for now. Australia's summer season is ending and the ratings period is about to begin. The news just came out, but I have received several messages from Aussie viewers who have already written & called Channel 9. Moonlight fans do not like it when someone messes with their show!

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

Moonlight's Australian Television Ratings Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

The Ringer episode (#1x07) of Moonlight aired Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008 on Australian television. The show had 670,000 viewers. It was in 18th place on the Aussie tv ratings chart.

Moonlight being removed from Channel Nine's tv schedule in Australia

Australian television guru, David Knox of TV Tonight, is reporting that Moonlight will soon no longer air in Australia. Channel Nine will be removing it, along with four other programs. The network has not announced new show times or days as of yet. :( I receive lots of email from Aussie viewers we have fallen in love with Moonlight.... and Alex. They are not gonna be happy about this! I bet Channel 9 will be receiving loads of calls and mail from dissatisfied fans.

Alex O'Loughlin may be left to wander the streets at night.

Nine is taking Moonlight, ER, Men in Trees, You Are What You Eat and Turn Back Your Body Clock out of schedule on Wednesday 6th February.

No replacement timeslots have yet been issued. It was never going to be an easy transition from summer to ratings for fans of these shows, and Nine is not alone in leaving fans lingering over their favourite summer fare.

Off Topic ~ Australian Actor Heath Ledger has died

Very, very sad news today..... Aussie actor, Heath Ledger, has died. I thought he was very talented. My favorites among his films are Ned Kelly, Monster's Ball, The Patriot & Brokeback Mountain. I'm a huge Batman fan, so I am looking forward to Heath playing the Joker. He has been excellent in all the clips & trailers I've seen for it. I just can not believe this!

At the moment, they believe the medicine found at the scene is over the counter sleeping pills.

Per MSNBC ~

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan residence in a possible drug-related death, police said. He was 28.

According to WNBC, Ledger was found with pills strewn all around him.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper, who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there, found him unconscious at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET, according to the New York Times. After receiving no response from the actor after shaking him, they called authorities.

The Australian-born actor was nominated for an Oscar for “Brokeback Mountain,” where he met his wife, actress Michelle Williams, in 2005. Ledger and Williams had lived in Brooklyn and had a daughter, Matilda, until they split up last year.

Ledger was to appear as the Joker this year in “The Dark Night,” a sequel to 2005’s “Batman Begins.” He’s had starring roles in “A Knight’s Tale” and “The Patriot,” and played the suicidal son of Billy Bob Thornton in “Monster’s Ball.”

Ledger grew up in Perth, and began doing amateur theater at age 10. At 16, he moved to Sydney to pursue an acting career, quickly landing TV movie roles and guest spots on Australian television.

His latest role was in “I’m Not There,” in which he played one of the many incarnations of Bob Dylan — as did Cate Blanchett, whose performance in that film earned an Oscar nomination Tuesday for best supporting actress.

Rest in peace!

Review of The Ringer (episode #1x07) on Australian website

The next Moonlight airing on Australian television will be The Ringer (episode #1x07). TVFix online has reviewed it. I would never use the word "staid" to describe our show, because to me Moonlight is the complete opposite of that. She does have lots of positive things to say, of course. Sexy, promising & refreshing!

Since we are talking about The Ringer, I couldn't stop myself from using this photo of Mick's first workout scene. I remember how much I enjoyed the fact that the show began with him doing difficult & hot upside down sit ups. I would so buy an Alex O'Loughlin exercise DVD! :>

Late night TV is now undead. If you miss Angel, this sexy, moody vampire drama will see you through to bite-time - er, bedtime.

Flicking between the mid-week offerings of the summer non-ratings period, viewers might be surprised to stumble upon this promising new series with a refreshing take on two familiar genres. That old-faithful of late-night viewing - the private eye - is brought back to life in the form of Mick St. John (Alex O'Loughlin). Mick isn't your average lone investigator, though - he also happens to be a reluctant vampire. That's right, it's a fang-fest mixed in with the private dick angle.

True to the gumshoe style Mick narrates his thoughts, which makes for easy watching no matter what time you happen to land into an episode.

In this installment, a building catches fire and a murder is unwittingly captured by a newspaper photographer shooting the inferno. But Mick is convinced there's a little more to it. Adding to the intrigue, that photographer (Shannyn Sossamon) looks a whole lot like Mick's former wife, whom he killed years earlier. Is the resemblance just a coincidence, or is there something more sinister going on?

Though the first half is a little formulaic, the pace manages to pick up in latter parts. Given enough patience, Moonlight does eventually offer a payoff. Panned for being a bit too staid, this new entry would benefit from sharper writing instead of complex plotlines. The promise is there, though, and this supernatural drama may well prove its critics wrong in the long run.

Moonlight airs on the Nine Network on Wednesday, January 23, at 9:30pm.

"Thank you" to the wonderful Aussie blog reader who made sure that I knew about this article!

Moonlight's Australian television ratings for Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

Last night, Moonlight reached its highest ratings yet in Australia! The B.C. episode (#1x06) aired on Wednesday, January 16th and brought in 834,000 viewers. Moonlight won its time slot and moved up to #11 on the Australian television ratings chart. *cheer* Perhaps, part of the reason for the increase is due to the audience being excited to see Aussie stars & stunning couple ~ Alex O'Loughlin and Holly Valance. However, I think the main cause is that they are falling for Moonlight just as we have :)

Photo : Holly Valance as Lola and Sophia Myles as Beth Turner. I like this picture of Alex's ~ Mick's ~ women.... in real life & on tv. ;>

Moonlight airs on Wednesday nights, at 9:30 PM, on Channel Nine in Australia.

Alex O'Loughlin and Holly Valance Interviewed by Australia's TV Week Magazine

Moonlight's B.C. episode (#1x06) will air this Wednesday, January 16th, 2008 in Australia. In advance of that, Australian magazine TV Week has published an interview with Alex O'Loughlin and Holly Valance. It is a brief article but the reporter, Jenny Cooney Carrillo, asks great questions. I saw the interview mentioned on TV Week's website, but they did not publish it online. :( So, I emailed my friend Alida. She ran out to buy the magazine & sent scans to me. Thank you, Alida!!! :)

You probably know, aside from being Alex's beautiful girlfriend in real life, they also chatted with Holly because she plays the lovely & lethal Lola in B.C. I like the "bad" girls. As I wrote at the time this episode aired here, I hope we haven't seen the last of Dolores Maxford Whitaker!

Holly reveals that she originally tested to be one of the main female characters ~ Beth Turner or Coraline. That would have been very interesting! I think she could have handled either part easily.

There is a tiny spoiler given away by Alex in this question and answer session. Bad boy! Just wanted to mention that for our Aussie readers who have not had the pleasure of seeing this episode yet. :)

Love Bites ~ Blood sucking & fangs are par for the course in Alex O'Loughlin and Holly Valance's relationship

Question : What is it like being famous in Hollywood?

Alex O'Loughlin : It's a little bit scary actually. On the Warner Bros lot where we shoot the show, we have these VIP tours on golf carts and a few fans have gone crazy seeing me outside the sound stage. I did a charity event last weekend and 40 women flew in just to meet Mick St John!

Question : How did they react?

Alex O'Loughlin : There was a lot of yelling and shaking and I've never experienced that before. In Australia, occasionally someone would pat me on the bum and say, "Good work in such and such," but people here seem to be overwhelmed by the show and the character. It's weird, it's really great that people love the show because we work really hard.

The reporter must have interviewed Alex right after his public appearance at the Toys for Tots event at Pole Position, a few weeks ago. I do know that several super Moonlight fans traveled all the way from Chicago to Corona, California to see him. Poor guy was startled by all the swooning! ha!

Question : How did you wind up working with Holly?

Alex O'Loughlin : The truth is I had nothing to do with her getting the role. I got a call as we were approaching the episode and the producers said, "Just to let you know, Holly will be playing Lola." So I called Holly because I didn't even know she was reading for the role and said, "Honey, guess what?" and she said, "Yeah, I know!"

Question : Why did she keep it from you?

Alex O'Loughlin : Holly is a woman of great integrity and she's very special. I can't believe how mature she is for her age (Alex is 31 years old & Holly is 25) and she just felt that I didn't need the distraction. She also felt it was very important that if she was going to get a job that had any sort of association with me, she needed to do it completely of her own accord - and she did.

Question : How was it working with Holly - especially as your characters have a fight scene?

SPOILER!

Alex O'Loughlin : I was wondering if it would be weird, but it was totally comfortable. And the great thing is they've killed her character off ambiguously, so you never know - she may come back!

Question : How was it playing a 500 year old Vampire?

Holly Valance : I had a lot of extra hair and fangs and milky contact lenses, so it was cool but also quite frightening. It was unlike anything I'd ever done acting-wise.

Question : How did you get the role?

Holly Valance : I'd tested for the two leads on the show when they were originally casting, so the producers knew me and put me on hold for the role. I decided not to say anything and see what Alex would say. When he called and said, "I've got good news, don't freak out." I just said, "That's great, babe. I found out four days ago!"

Question : What was it like working together?

Holly Valance : I was nervous for the first 15 minutes, but once we got into it, I switched from being Holly to becoming Lola and just had fun.

Question : Tell us more about the fight!

Holly Valance : The crew were saying, "You guys are going to kill each other! You're really going for it, aren't you?" We were both trying to outdo each other.

Can you imagine how fun it would be to hang out with Holly & Alex? They sound happy with each other. I like that :) Click on the images above to see a large, readable version of the interview... and to check out the great photos of Mick St John, Lola and Beth Turner.
