SPOILER ~ New promo photos for Moonlight's Click episode (#1x14)

SPOILER ALERT! It has been over two weeks since I put these Click photographs on the blog. So, I thought it would be a good idea to repost them since the episode airs tomorrow. TOMORROW!

CBS has released new spoiler promo photos for Moonlight's Click episode (#1x14).

I have a feeling that one of the pictures is gonna make you squeal. Call me crazy ;> Another MickBeth kiss in this episode?!??! And, remember, he is a Vampire again. Seems like he has gotten over that whole vamps and mortals don't mix thing. *grin*

Interesting tho cuz if you think back to the script spoilers for Click, Mick has a line "We had something before, but it's over now. (beat) It's complicated." Either, they took that dialogue out... Mick changed his mind.... or he was trying to cover up the relationship for some reason. This is the scene (also mentioned in the spoilers) where Beth & Mick run into each other at the club while undercover.

I like the photo of them smiling at each other. We've been getting to enjoy lots of dreamy Alex smiles lately because of Mick's newfound happiness.

Media Blvd interviews Eric Winter on Moonlight's set

Christina Radish, from Media Blvd Magazine, has done a wonderful interview with ADA Benjamin Talbot on the set of Moonlight. We learn how Eric Winter got into the business, what we will see from Talbot in his first episodes, what Eric hopes will happen to his new character in season two & more.

Eric Winter Joins The Cast of 'Moonlight'
by Christina Radish

Actor Eric Winter is the latest edition to the CBS television series Moonlight, about vampire private investigator Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin). As Assistant District Attorney Ben Talbot, Winter -- who has previously made appearances on such shows as Charmed, CSI, Wildfire and Brothers & Sisters -- will be shaking things up for Mick and Beth (Sophia Myles).

Winter took time out, while filming Episode 15, to speak with MediaBlvd Magazine on the Warner Bros. Studios set of the show.

MediaBlvd Magazine> Since you’re the new guy on the show, can you talk about who your character is?

Eric Winter> We’re learning more and more about him, all the time. It’s a little bit mysterious, in the sense that he’s driven by his work. He’s out to do whatever he has to, to get the answers to solve the crimes going on in town. And, there’s an interesting fondness towards Beth. I’m learning about him at the same time as everybody else. What’s his real motive with Beth? Why was he brought in? She’s an attractive girl, so there’s going to be some of that brought in for a little bit of a love triangle possibility. Besides being the Assistant District Attorney in town, and trying to keep law and order, we’re here to mix up a little personal life, as well.

MediaBlvd> Is he a vampire?

Eric Winter> No. Not that I know of. It hasn’t happened yet. Maybe he’ll get turned.

MediaBlvd> Were you a fan of vampire mythology, before this?

Eric Winter> I was a big fan of Bram Stroker’s Dracula. All these types of werewolves and vampires, and all that stuff, has always been fascinating to me. It’s just a cool genre. Wouldn’t it be cool, if they were real? I dig the fact that this is set in that tone?

MediaBlvd> Had you seen the show, prior to being cast, or did you have to catch up on episodes, once you got the role?

Eric Winter> I had seen some of it, early on. And then, I was working on a couple other things. I’m one of those people who does not stay on track with a lot of shows, which is terrible because I do a lot of TV acting. But, I knew people that were on the show and I was a fan of what I was hearing about it, and I caught some of the early episodes. And then, I played some catch up as well. Then, the strike really screwed everybody up. But, yeah, I was a fan of the show.

MediaBlvd> Was it hard to come into a show, when everybody already knew each other?

Eric Winter> It can be hard. But, in this particular situation, it wasn’t at all. They were extremely welcoming. Alex and Sophia run a really great ship, as far as the cast goes, being that they’re the two leads on the show. They’re really warm. And, starting from the top, down, the producers and everybody have been extremely welcoming and friendly, which makes for a really comfortable environment when you’re coming into a show mid-stream, especially towards the tail-end, after a strike situation, when everything was started and then stopped. It worked out really well and I am very fortunate. Every show is different, in this town, and you’re not always guaranteed a comfortable environment.

MediaBlvd> What would you like to see your character do, if the show gets picked up for a second season?

Eric Winter> I don’t know a whole lot of what they have planned, but I would love to see a little bit more insight into Ben Talbot -- who he is and why he came around in this situation. I understand he’s an Assistant District Attorney and he’s following up on the job. The last Assistant District Attorney is no longer with us, so he’s taking over, in that sense. But, I would love to see a little bit more into his past and why he is the way he is because he’s a very driven workaholic, and does anything he has to. And I’d love to see more develop between him and Beth. They’re definitely headed in that direction, so I’m excited about that and I want to see where that’s going to go.

MediaBlvd> Do you think there’s a chance that his drive could lead him to less than savory practices?

Eric Winter> Oh, I’m sure. I think he’ll do anything. I don’t think he necessarily sticks to the book, so it’s going to affect what and who he’s willing to go after, especially to screw with Mick. Mick is definitely not someone he feels loyal to. He’s got a big finger on the pulse of Mick and he can’t quite figure it out, and I think it drives him crazy. He almost wants to expose whatever it is that’s mysterious about him because he can’t stand that he’s constantly getting in the middle of his stuff. He wants to be the top dog. So, any angle to get to Mick is going to be key.

MediaBlvd> So, he doesn’t know that Mick is a vampire?

Eric Winter> No, but he knows that definitely something’s up. We’ve got a little connection. He’s got his eye on him.

MediaBlvd> What’s Mick’s reaction to your character? How do your characters first meet?

Eric Winter> The first scene of my first episode, I come across Beth, in a situation that we’re in, and Mick can’t quite figure me out. He’s not judging me right away, but I am judging him. I know a lot about him. Assuming that I’ve been in the District Attorney’s office and I knew the last Assistant District Attorney from past interactions, I know who Mick St. John is and I’m not fond of his practices. So, he definitely sees that I’m sizing him up, and he doesn’t like that.

MediaBlvd> Is there any interaction between your character and Josef?

Eric Winter> There is, in the first episode back, but there’s not a whole lot, as far as my character. That remains to be developed. That will come out later, I’m sure.

MediaBlvd> Would you want your character to turn into a vampire?

Eric Winter> Who doesn’t? I want those cool fangs on. I’ve never had that happen to me, in my life, so it would be kinda cool. I’ve never gotten to play a vampire before. That would be a fun thing.

MediaBlvd> Have you gotten to do any of your own stunts in the action scenes?

Eric Winter> My first episode wasn’t crazy for me, as far as the stunts go. I guess I did fly into a cabinet, but it was a minor little stunt. I can see it definitely unfolding, on this show. They do stunts quite a bit. I’m impressed. Alex has his work cut out for him because he does a lot of the stunts. But, I’m definitely excited to be a part of more of that. I’m very much that type of a person, in real life. I love anything extreme, just going off and having a great time. I’m looking forward to some of those stunts.

MediaBlvd> How did you first get into acting?

Eric Winter> I hate to say it, but I was a model turned actor. I started by modeling and I took some drama in college. It was not my major. I got a degree in Psychology, which actually applies a lot to acting, and the people you come across. Basically, I got very turned on by it, through the drama classes, and when I started modeling, I transitioned into a lot of different acting classes and I was able to get into a really wonderful comfort zone with it. It’s a lot of fun. It’s a passion that’s grown tremendously, since I started. I’m not one of those typical people who knew their whole life that they were going to be an actor. It grew with me, so it was fun to be a part of that.

MediaBlvd> Will your character be returning to Brothers & Sisters?

Eric Winter> No talks of it yet. I could assume that there’s probably room for it. I’ve given them a tough situation. As soon as I booked that show, I had another TV show for CBS, called Viva Laughlin, so they had to work around that. They wrote me out and sent me to Malaysia. And then, Viva got cancelled and I went back to Brothers & Sisters. Then, there was the writer’s strike. Now, I’m on Moonlight. So, they’re probably saying, “What the hell do we do with this character?” And, I’m Rob Lowe’s brother, so I’m part of the family. I assume you’ll probably see me again, at some point, at least for closure. It’s a great group over there, and I was fortunate to be a part of that.

MediaBlvd> You also have a movie coming out on the same day Moonlight returns?

Eric Winter> Yeah, Harold & Kumar: Escape from Alcatraz. I’m excited about that. Hopefully, it will be a big night for CBS and a big night for New Line.

MediaBlvd> Do you have any other projects coming up?

Eric Winter> Yeah, I’m doing another movie right now, that I’ll be doing simultaneously with the show, called The Ugly Truth, for Sony with Lakeshore, starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. I’m looking forward to that as well. I’m sure that will come out next year sometime. It’s a romantic comedy, and I play Katherine’s sort of love interest, throughout the process. Gerard is teaching her how to date me, throughout the movie, and then, of course, he ends up with the girl. When you shoot 300 and you become a big movie star, I guess they give you the girl, at the end. One day, I’ll get that girl.

MediaBlvd> In real life, what’s your greatest fear?

Eric Winter> I’m not a super-macho stud with no fears. I have a weird, crazy fear/infatuation with sharks. I love sharks. They’re one of the coolest things on the planet. But, every now and then, when I’m drifting out in the ocean and swimming, I start thinking, “Wow, if I got attacked right now, what would happen?” It’s one of the things that stumbles across my mind. But, I’m a weird guy. I had pet snakes, growing up. I love reptiles. There are not a lot of things I have phobias over. I’m cool with tarantulas, and all those kinds of things. But, something about a shark and the element of surprise in the ocean, freaks me out a little bit. I love the ocean. I’ll snorkel and scuba dive. I did a thing, one time, in Tahiti where I snorkeled into this area where they feed black tip reef sharks all around your boat, and you jump in and you’re just in the middle, surrounded by probably 20 or 30 of them, in the middle of the ocean, and not in a cage. And from having this weird infatuation with sharks, I was freaking out, holding onto the boat, while they were circling me, and there was nothing to stop them from killing me. It was really cool, but I was flipping out the whole time. I’m infatuated, but I’m freaked out, at the same time.

Watch With Kristin's spoilers about ADA Benjamin Talbot

E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos was the hostess for Moonlight's Paley Center panel. She passed on a bit of info she learned that night.

SPOILERS about new character, ADA Benjamin Talbot

Elie in Lincoln, Neb. :
You moderated the Paley panel on Moonlight, and I'm stuck in Nebraska, so I count on you to give me the dish! Spill.

I thought the most interesting info was the writers saying that by the middle of season two, CBS willing, we would love Eric Winter's character, even though he was introduced as a third party in the Mick-Beth relationship. And he's not what he seems to be at first, but he's also not a vampire. Hmmm...

Sophia ~ "The ladies are gonna love this episode cuz the first time you see Mick and Beth they're having a picnic down on the beach in Malibu. And, Beth looks up to see Mick striding towards her, along the sand, with his shirt open. So, it's great!" Yes, Sophia.... we do kinda like that *wink*

Alex ~ "They haven't consummated yet, it's very close"

Moonlight Set Visit Part II: We Take a Stroll with Alex O'Loughlin and Eric Winter

On April 25th, 2008, Mick St. John is returning to your living room with a giant bag full of unexpected twists and secrets that will keep your water cooler conversations guessing throughout the summer. CBS plans to air four all new episodes of its hit series Moonlight over the course of the next four weeks, and it will all cumulate in one slam-bang breath-ceasing season finale. We recently headed over to the Warner Bothers lot to get the inside scoop on the second half of Moonlight's first season. While there, we interviewed all of the key cast members including Jason Dohring and Sophia Myles.

This time out, we got a change to speak with both Alex O'Loughlin and series newcomer Eric Winter. When we arrived, they were both busy working on episode fifteen, which sees Alex's Mick St. John transported back to World War II. It's a flashback, of course. But some pretty heavy secrets are revealed, and these plot threads will carry the show into one of the craziest season finales of the year.

Episode thirteen, which premiers this Friday at 9pm, picks up exactly where episode twelve left off. Mick is still mortal, and Beth is still angry with him for letting her fiance Josh die. Of course Mick won't stay human for long. The premise of the show is vampires. But he does get to have some fun in his corporeal skin. We see him enjoying orange juice for breakfast instead of blood, and there is a prolonged montage of him soaking in the sun. Sadly, all good things come to pass, and before this latest episode is over, Mick will once again be sucking on a donor bag. The big twist comes with how he is turned back into a vamp. It won't be the way you think. The protective salve he has applied to his skin doesn't wear off. No. Something much worse happens to the poor chap.

The way in which Mick is turned back into a vampire will have a dire effect on the entire structuring of the show. Certain roles will change, and relationships will become strained. Coraline will be returning, but not before the end of the season. We met up with Alex O'Loughlin behind a quaint family home decked out in forties regalia to get more information on the fate of his character and the entire series too boot. O'Loughlin showed up in his army uniform, his hair shorter than it has been during the duration of the program. He seemed in a rather cheery mood. Everyone on set seems to believe that Moonlight is definitely coming back for a second season next year.

Alex O'Loughlin : About my uniform today, Mick was a medic when he went into the army. He had basic overall training. That is what we will see in episode fifteen. This is where his firearm training is honed. We see him in battle, which is a reality for so many soldiers at war. A lot of my friends have been to battle in Somalia and the Gulf War. They have been to different parts of the world. They go in trained in one specific area, and they come out knowing a whole lot more. You experience a bunch of other stuff, because of the nature of what is going on. Some of the stuff we are dealing with in this episode is quite exciting.

If Mick was a medic during the war that means he was dealing with blood even before he turned into a vampire. Has that always been a main thing in his life?

Alex O'Loughlin : Yeah, absolutely. It still has a profound effect on him today. If you go back to episode eleven, when Josh's life is finished, and Mick has tried to save him? Part of what makes Mick unique is his ability to turn off his emotions and deal with what he has to deal with. There was so much blood. The urge to do what comes naturally to him can be subdued. That desire to drink the blood was right at the surface the whole time. So, he is no stranger to blood or body parts. He can control his natural instincts.

How did being a medic effect him as a vampire?

Alex O'Loughlin : I personally think that you make your own character decisions. And sometimes that stuff never makes it into the final cut of the show. One of the things I'd done a lot of thinking about was that Mick may have gone off and done a lot of research about hematology before becoming a Private Investigator. I think he studied up on it. He became educated in blood. This guy has such a strict set of morals. He doesn't kill for pleasure. Not any more. He gets his blood from a blood bank. He has structured this way of living. As a vampire that sits more comfortably with him. I'm sure it all has to do with his past. When he is consuming blood, he knows all about the cells. He knows the structure of the blood. A lot of vampires may not know about that stuff.

Where would you like to see Mick go to in the future. Do you think he and Beth should get together in season two?

Alex O'Loughlin : The minute he and Beth actually get together and consummate their love, it becomes a different story. At this moment, we still have the Romeo and Juliet thing going on. When this show was pitched to me, they said it was about a vampire P.I. I said, "Really?" I didn't think it would be good. But then I read it, and it is about so much more than that. It deals with epic ideas and themes. I think it has elements of Hamlet, it has elements of Romeo and Juliet. I think it has elements of a lot of big stories that have already been told. When we get together, that element will no longer be there. It won't be unrequited love anymore. That will push us in a different direction. Sure, we will deal with it. And it will be interesting, no matter what. Is that what I want to happen? I don't know. I really like the dramatic tension that is there because these two haven't had that physical and spiritual connection yet. Its funny. Where do I want this show to go? That depends on how long we've got. The limits to the storytelling possibilities are the limits to our imaginations. Because the ideas are so immense. We are dealing with immortality. And we have so much flashback work we can do. There are pieces of jewelry that Mick wears, that he has worn since the beginning of the show, that we haven't talked about yet. Those all come from different stories. There is stuff in episode twelve. All of the blood stuff, and that Mick comes from French royalty. Mick is involved with another bloodline. Does that make him more powerful? Does he have any new skills that he doesn't know about? Is he going to realize himself all over again, on a different level? I have lots of my own ideas. I walk into the writer's room, and they all go, "Oh, God!" The writers are the same as me. They feel there are so many ways we can go with this. I hope we get to season two, because there are just so many possibilities.

Do we see you engaged in combat in this episode you are shooting right now?

Alex O'Loughlin : Yes. Yeah, you see me in heavy combat with my best friend. A lot of this episode is based around that, and based around the fact that Mick may have a child that is alive today. And he would be about the same age as me. So, it is pretty heavy stuff.

We met up with series newcomer Eric Winter. He plays Assistant District Attorney Ben Talbot on the series. He is being introduced as a potential love interest for Beth, and a potential pain in the neck for Mick St. John. Here is our conversation:

Can you tell us about your character? He's new too the show, right?

Eric Winter : Yeah, he is ADA Ben Talbot. He is basically a good guy. We are learning more and more about him all the time. He is mysterious in that he is driven by his work. He will do anything to get the answers he needs in order to solve what is going on at the time. There is an interesting fondness he has towards Beth. I am learning about it as you are. Do you know what his motivation is towards Beth? Do you know? I think he was brought in for that reason. There may be a love connection there. Other than that, he is the assistant district attorney in town. While he is here to keep a little law and order, he is also here to mix up some personal lives as well.

Is he a vampire?

Eric Winter : No, not that I know of. That hasn't happened yet. Maybe I'll get turned one day.

Were you a fan of vampire mythology before coming onto this show?

Eric Winter : I was a big fan of Bram Stroker's Dracula. I love the mythology of it. I love the mythology of Dracula, and werewolves, and the mummy. It has always been fascinating to me. It is just a cool genre. I think they are real. I mean, wouldn't it be cool if they were? I dig the fact that this show is set in that tone and genre.

Coming onto the series, did you already know what was going on with the different characters, or did you have to play catch up really fast?

Eric Winter : I had seen some of the episodes early on. Then I started working on a couple of other things. It's terrible. Even though I do a lot of TV acting, I am not able to stay on track with a lot of shows. The stuff I had seen was because I knew some of the people that were on it. I loved what I was hearing about it. So I caught some of the earlier episodes when they aired. With the last couple, I have been playing catch-up. It was the strike that really screwed everybody up. But, yeah, I was a fan of the show before I arrived.

Was it a challenge coming on in the middle of the season?

Eric Winter : It can be hard, but in this particular situation it wasn't at all. They were extremely welcoming here. Alex and Sophia run a really great ship as far as the cast goes. They are really warm. Starting from the top down, everybody has been really friendly and supportive, which helps when you come in midstream like that. Especially towards the tail end, when a show is abruptly stopped such as ours was. This has worked out quite well despite that. Every show in this town is different. You are not always guaranteed a comfortable environment.

What do you hope to see happen with ADA Talbot?

Eric Winter : I can tell you what I hope to see, because I don't know a lot about what they have planned. I would love to see a little bit more insight into Ben Talbot. Who he is and why he has come around this situation. I understand that he is the assistant district attorney. And he is following up on the job of the last ADA. He is taking over in that sense, but I would like to see more insight into who he is. He is a very driven workaholic. I would like to see more with him and Beth. They are definitely headed in that direction. I am excited about that. I do want to see where that will go. I think Talbot will do anything. So there is no telling where he will go in order to screw with Mick. He definitely doesn't have any sort of loyalty to Mick. Maybe he wants to expose Mick, because the guy's business is constantly getting in the middle of my guy's stuff. Talbot wants to be the top dog, and any angle he can get to go at Mick he will take.

Moonlight returns this Friday, April 25th, at 9pm only on CBS.

SPOILER ~ New promo photos for Moonlight's Click episode (#1x14)

SPOILER ALERT!

CBS has released new spoiler promo photos for Moonlight's Click episode (#1x14). We get our first look at Eric Winter as ADA Benjamin Talbot.

I wonder if this is the scene (also mentioned in the spoilers) where they run into each other at the club while undercover.

I like the photo of them smiling at each other. We've been getting to enjoy lots of dreamy Alex smiles lately because of Mick's human happiness.

Mild Spoilers ~ Maddy talks with new Moonlight man, Eric Winter

Maddy, at BlogCritics Magazine, got the chance to interview a new member of our Moonlight cast ~ Eric Winter who plays ADA Benjamin Talbot. It is great to learn more about the handsome addition. There are mild spoilers ahead.

An Interview With Eric Winter, the Newest Actor on Moonlight
by CallmeMaddy

Just when you think they couldn't add any more hot guys to the cast of Moonlight, they add Eric Winter, who came in on his day off to do this exclusive interview for Blogcritics.

Eric is very well-rounded. He went to UCLA (a school which actually rejects students with a 4.0 GPA) and majored in psychology and biology. He took drama in college and fell in love with it. But, in reality, he was a model who, like many others, turned to acting.

Eric loves the ocean, but is deeply afraid of sharks. When he goes snorkeling, it's always bittersweet.

Besides Moonlight, Eric has had many different projects. One of his biggest was his five-episode role on Brothers and Sisters as Jason. He's not sure if he will be returning there anytime soon. He's always busy filming something else. He had a part on Viva Laughlin and appeared on some Days of Our Lives episodes. He's filming a romantic comedy called The Ugly Truth, while jokingly complaining about how his character didn't get the girl. And, premiering the same night as Moonlight is his movie, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, about two men suspected as terrorists who escape from Guantanamo Bay.

On Moonlight, Eric plays Ben Talbot, the new assistant District Attorney, who we will meet in the first episode back. There's going to be a huge love triangle between his character, Beth (Sophia Myles), and Mick (Alex O'Loughlin who Blogcritics also interviewed). Now, Ben doesn't know Mick is a vampire, but he definitely suspects something. He's not loyal to Mick and can't stand his mysteriousness. He would like to see, like his co-star Jason Dohring (who Blogcritics also interviewed) wants with his character, more about Ben's past.

Although his character is not a vampire (yet, at least), when asked if he would like to be a vampire, he responded, "Who doesn't want to be a vampire? It's cool! It would be fun!" Eric has always been a big fan of Dracula, perhaps the quintessential vampire.

Eric said he had seen Moonlight before, but did not really keep up with the show. However, for him, it wasn't hard to join the cast. He said, "The cast was very welcoming," and the Moonlight set is a "comfortable environment."

Make sure to catch Eric's debut on Moonlight on April 25 at 9P.M. Coming from the girl who knows a few secrets after being on the set for a day, the new episodes are not to be missed.

TV Squad behind the scenes with Moonlight's cast - includes SPOILERS

Kristin, from AOL's TV Squad, has an incredible new article and behind the scenes peek on Moonlight's set. She interviews Alex O'Loughlin, Jason Dohring, Sophia Myles and our new guy Eric Winter. Alex causes another person to swoon ;)

Spoiler Alert! Kristin's chat with Moonlight's stars does include info about what will happen in upcoming episodes. They confirm the spoiler info we have discussed previously.

All these wonderful photos were taken by Kristin on the set!

Moonlight: Set visit and cast interviews
by Kristin Sample

Yesterday I went to Warner Bros. studios in Burbank to visit the set of CBS's Moonlight. I must admit... with the exception of the pilot, I actually haven't watched the show. But after talking with the cast members, seeing the set, and hearing about the four episodes that will air starting April 25th, I think I might be a fan of Moonlight.

And I know for sure there are some Moonlight fans here at TV Squad. You are going to love what I have in store for you after the jump. Read on and find out about my day at Stage 9 and Stage 14 of Warner Bros. and my interviews with Jason Dohring, Eric Winter, Sophia Myles, and *swoon* Alex O'Loughlin.

Beware. There are some spoilers...

Before I start recounting the events of yesterday in earnest, let me get one thing out of the way. The show has not been renewed as of yet. Moonlight does have four episodes ready that were ordered in late 2007. Like I said before the jump, these episodes will air on Friday nights at 9 PM starting April 25th. Check back with TV Squad for news updates and reviews of those episodes.

First Episode Teasers

In the episode airing April 25th, Mick regains his vampire powers. The interesting part about his turning back into a vampire is the way it happens. I actually found out exactly how Mick turns from a "human" to a vampire but I was sworn to secrecy. I can say that it doesn't happen the way you're expecting (i.e. it's not because the salve wears off).

Moreover, Mick is enjoying being human. There is a montage with him sleeping on a couch, awaking to sunlight, and drinking some orange juice. He's really enjoying being with Beth as well.

Jason Dohring was excited about the first episode, "I'm not bullshitting. You guys are going to love the next episode." He also mentioned the beautiful score for the episode, saying how moving it was. Finally, he was excited that Josef "goes vampire" on April 25th and gets to kick butt with Mick. Dohring was so enthusiastic to don the vampire make-up that he got ready four hours early and walked around out on the street to enjoy the reactions of passers-by.

And there's a new character joining the Moonlight gang; Eric Winter will play Assistant District Attorney Ben Talbot. Winter said of his character's first appearance: "He makes a statement right away."

What They Were Filming Yesterday

On the set yesterday, they were shooting flashback scenes set in the 1940s in Mick's old neighborhood. In the episode, Mick gets a case that brings him to the place where he grew up. We will get to see Mick before he was turned into a vampire and learn about his time in the army. We will also meet Mick's best friend Ray and his wife Lilah. Mick will be in a heavy combat scene with Ray.

Interview with Jason Dohring (Josef)

I asked Jason Dohring what it was like to go from playing a teen on Veronica Mars to playing a centuries-old vampire on Moonlight. He said his approach to the characters was so different. On VM, his character had such a limited experience to draw from. But on Moonlight, Josef doesn't get to experience any new situations having lived so many lifetimes.

Dohring hopes that we find out more about Josef's and Coraline's past in these upcoming episodes. He's intrigued by the different bloodlines. He wonders who's more powerful (Josef or Coraline).

While Dohring wouldn't change anything about Josef's hedonistic character, he says that if he was a real vampire, he would follow Mick's path. Dohring would "find a way to do something good with it."

Someone asked who Jason looks to for inspiration in the field of acting. He answered, Marlon Brando. He thinks anyone interested in acting should just take one scene and watch it like twenty times. He says Brando "did cool stuff in every bit of film" and moved with grace.

Interview with Alex O'Loughlin (Mick St. John)

Alex started by saying that he's a big fan of the vampire genre: "I've always been enamored with the shameless sensuality in the genre, unlike any other genre." He said he's fascinated by vampires' heightened sensitivity and compared them to cats. O'Loughlin also divulged that he's been captivated by the stars and the concept of infinity since he was a young boy. So, Mick's immortality was intriguing to him.

Someone asked if Beth and Mick will get together, O'Loughlin warned that it's a different story if that were to happen. They'll no longer have the tension. They will no longer have the Romeo and Juliet feel or the story about unrequited love, as he put it. Alex assures us that if the two did get together, it would still be interesting. But, for now, he really likes the tension between Mick and Beth.

Many have commended Alex for his willingness to do his own stunts. He says that he loves the fight choreography. On the subject of fighting, I asked whether he thought Mick St. John or Angel would win in a fight (remember that Vs. post of Isabelle's). "Mick would win. I can't help the facts," he quipped.

Someone also posed a hypothetical question: If you were a vampire in real life, who's path would you follow? Josef's or Mick's? He said he would follow Josef's then be immensely guilty and follow Mick's.

Interview with Eric Winter (Asst. D.A. Ben Talbot)

Winter brings a new element of tension to the show with ADA Ben Talbot. He describes his character as "driven by his work." Talbot wants to solve the crimes that plague the city. He has an immediate fondness for Beth Turner, but Winter himself doesn't know the true motivation behind Talbot's interest in Beth's character.

There is a possible love triangle brewing as well. Talbot, who is attracted to Beth, is haunted by his need to expose Mick. From his very first scene, you'll see a tension between Mick and Ben. Ben wants to be top dog and desperately wants to know Mick's secret.

Someone asked if Ben was a vampire, Winter laughed, "Not that I know of." He clearly thinks getting to play a vampire would be great. "It's just a cool genre," he said. Then he joked, "I think they're real. No, just kidding."

Interview with Sophia Myles (Beth Turner)

On whether or not she liked the vampire genre, Sophia said frankly, "Not really if I'm honest." She then stated her preference for sci-fi over anything vamp. Furthermore, she says she doesn't see the fascination with drinking blood and can't understand why anyone would think it's sexy. So, why do Moonlight? Sophia explained that she was intrigued by theme of immortality, especially as it pertains to Beth and Mick.

A relationship between the two characters, however, would be so difficult. They can't have children. She would age and he wouldn't. "I don't see how there is a kind of happy future," she said. So, will Beth get turned into a vampire so the two can be together? Sophia thinks it's an option Beth would consider.

Tidbits

We won't find out anything else about Coraline and her family (at least nothing too soon).

Everyone I met (cast members, behind the scenes folk, publicists) was overjoyed by the fan reaction to this show. "It was unbelievable," Jason Dohring exclaimed. Sophia Myles agreed, "It's blown my mind, the success of it all." Myles also said she was touched at the fans' willingness to donate blood to the American Red Cross to show their support for the show.

Fans of Sophia Myles should know that she's donning a short bob now after months of extensions ruining her hair. She explained that for the four episodes they are working on now, she is wearing a 3/4 wig.

Alex and Jason will be in the Moonlight booth at ComicCon in New York.

Sophia Myles disclosed that the best way to get Alex O'Loughlin to laugh is to, "talk about poo."

Mick is afraid of people and their capabilities. Eric is both infatuated with and afraid of sharks. Sophia is afraid of deep water and humans. Looks like a love triangle could be creeping into the story whether the writers like it or not, eh?

By the way, Jason Dohring said his biggest fear was burning alive. And all this talk got me wondering what my biggest fear was. I'm pretty scared of sharks (I have to agree with Eric there). I think drowning or suffocating (i.e. being buried alive) really freaks me out the most though.

When asked who she'd love to work with, Sophia Myles answered Christian Bale and Tim Burton.

Eric Winter didn't originally want to become an actor. In fact, he has a degree from UCLA (a double major in psychology and biology).

Winter laughed that he has two premieres on April 25th: Moonlight on CBS and the new Harold and Kumar movie for Sony and Lakeshore.

Alex is Jason's favorite person to work with on the show.

Jason Dohring has been acting since he was eight-years-old. He got into the biz because he has both a set of twin sisters and twin brothers who were working in commercials.

Overall, I had a great time. I hope this was informative for all you Moonlighters out there. Don't forget to tune in on April 25th!

Moonlight casting news ~ Eric Winter will play ADA Talbot

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello is reporting that Eric Winter will join Moonlight's cast. He will play ADA Talbot. It is great to hear of more progress toward our new episodes :) Hmmmmm.... in a previous post, I mentioned Talbot bringing some tension to the show. It looks like that is definitely gonna happen if he tries to become a rival for Beth's attention!

Doesn't look like that Kevin-Jason reunion is happening anytime soon on Brothers & Sisters. CBS' Moonlight has tapped the so-pretty-it-should-be-illegal Eric Winter for a major recurring role, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Winter, who's onboard for a minimum of three episodes beginning with the show's post-strike premiere on April 25, will play ADA Benjamin Talbot, a handsome, self-assured gent who plays by his own rules. I'm hearing Ben sets his sights on Beth (Sophia Myles), which, as you can imagine, makes Mick a very angry vampire.

This is definitely good news for Moonlight. Not so much for Brothers & Sisters. You with me?
