Mick is determined to take on the bad Vampire doctor to save our kidnapped Beth, even though he is human. Josef vamps out & attacks Mick to show him that he can not hope to win the mortal vs Vampire fight.

Unusual Blood Type ~ CBS has released the scene of Mick, Beth and Ada Talbot questioning the vamp doctor in Fated to Pretend (episode #1x13). It shows the fight and then the disgusting moment of Dr Anders licking Beth and realizing her rare blood type. YUCK!

Lots of spoilers! Our first look at the wicked fight scene with vamped out Mick and Josef working together to battle the bad vamps. *cheer*

Sophia ~ "The ladies are gonna love this episode cuz the first time you see Mick and Beth they're having a picnic down on the beach in Malibu. And, Beth looks up to see Mick striding towards her, along the sand, with his shirt open. So, it's great!" Yes, Sophia.... we do kinda like that *wink*

Alex ~ "They haven't consummated yet, it's very close"

You know that I'm an action/adventure girl who gets a little too riled up by the vamped out scenes. hehehehe..... This will be our first time to see Josef in full Vampire makeup and fighting!

Alex ~ "I've got a big fight scene. I've gotta kick some ass. I have to! It's my duty as a Vampire private investigator. It's the only way I can save my Beth. So, I'm coming in to get my girl."

My Beth, my girl.... awwwwwwww... I like how Alex says that.

Jason ~ "We kinda come in in this scene and Butch Cassidy Sundance Kid kind of tear some ass up."

Sophia ~ "It's a thrill ride." As Mick would say, It's a giant thrill ride that never ends!

Mick and Coraline fight against Lance and his lackey vamp in this scene from The Mortal Cure (episode #1x12). I admire Mick's heart & character. Knowing that he can never hope to win as a human battling a Vampire ~ a extremely powerful one at that ~ he still steps up to the challenge. As I said, I like the flair with which he stakes Lance's subordinate vamp. He may be temporarily mortal, but our boy has still got moves!

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!






Mick asks Beth to come over for dinner.....

Beth ~ You're going to cook me dinner?
Mick ~ I'm gonna try.
Beth ~ Is this like a "date"?
Mick ~ If you want it to be.
Beth thinks about the ramifications of a "date" with Mick.
Beth ~ Yeah. I do.

I know you are breathless after that.... but you are gonna need to take a DEEP breath before reading what happens next!

ADA Talbot, Mick and Beth confront a plastic surgeon about the death of a patient. While questioning Doctor Anderson in his office, Mick realizes that he is a Vampire. He tries to protect Beth and Talbot. Anderson shoves Beth aside, splitting her lip in the process. The vamp sends Mick smashing through his glass desk. Mick is knocked out. :( Beth shoots Anderson, but of course that does not stop him.

A groggy Talbot opens his eyes just long enough to see Anderson take a long lick of Beth's cheek.

Anderson ~ Hmmm. Type AO Negative. Very tasty.

Josef arrives. Mick is still motionless & covered with glass from the desk. Josef feeds Mick his blood! Mick comes to and transforms back into a Vampire. THEN..... Josef and Mick fight Anderson, & his sidekick vamps, together!

Anderson (re Mick's appearance) ~ You're a......
Mick ~ Oh yeah.
Anderson's two thugs move to intercept Mick and Josef.
Josef ~ It is SO on
What ensues is a full-on, knock down, drag out, VAMPIRE ASS KICKING FIGHT. It will be brutal, bloody and deadly.

Mick, more skilled and practiced, fights methodically, while Josef fights with a fury and the reckless abandon of someone thoroughly enjoying himself.

Throughout the fight, Talbot & Beth remain blindfolded, or at least semi-blindfolded.

Hmmmmm.... I wonder if the vamp investigation that was originally written for Josh will now be given to the new ADA.

Mick and Josef move to Beth and Talbot.
Mick ~ It's okay. I'm here.
He takes off her blindfold. She sees his face. No wounds.
Beth ~ How? Mick, what happened?
Mick ~ I... Like they say, life's short.
Mick unties a confused Beth and scoops her into his arms.

Our writers are the absolute best! They never let us down.

Again, this info is how the script reads for now. Things can change. Remember in the original script for The Mortal Cure (episode #1x12), Celeste was supposed to be helping Josh investigate Vampires. In the finished product, she had become his jeweler. I really hope they don't change a thing! This is my kinda action episode :) You know that I have been dreaming of the day we get to see Josef in action. Some of my fave scenes are when he & Mick worked together in The Ringer (episode #1x07). It would make me too happy if they keep the "Vampire ass kicking fight" scenes!

I was already counting the days til April 25th.... How am I gonna wait to see what happens now!?!?

CBS releases video of Mick and Coraline fighting Lance in The Mortal Cure (episode #1x12)

CBS has released this video of Mick and Coraline fighting her brother, Lance, in The Mortal Cure (episode #1x12). This is a great fight scene! Even though Mick is human, he still jumps into the battle. I love how he stakes the minion vamp. He has the moves as a Vampire or human! Unfortunately, Lance is so strong. When he taunts Mick about wanting to be a mortal, it makes me wanna smack him myself. He is too arrogant! Jason Butler Harner does a good job with the villain role. Lance knows he can do whatever he wants with Coraline and Mick. Coraline surrenders to Lance to save Mick's life. I wouldn't want to trade places with her. I wonder if we will see Mick try to find and rescue her in the future.

Just wanna warn you again....... Major Spoilers Ahead :)

I gave you scoop on the temporary "cure," French Revolution, etc in an earlier post. This time.... For those who asked about the feelings Mick & Coraline reveal in the season finale. The true nature of their relationship has been the subject of great debate, to put it mildly. Some argue they did/do love one another, others say never, more messages say it was only lust, or assert that Coraline is nothing but pure evil. Whew!

In The Mortal Cure, Coraline does give Mick a small kiss on the lips after giving him the "cure."

Coraline's brother, Lance, is hunting her. Where he plans to deliver her is not a pleasant destination. When he corners her the first time, Mick is looking on. Instead of allowing Coraline to be taken, Mick intervenes... and is beaten badly by the much older & more powerful vamp. Later, he comes to her rescue again by fighting Lance WHILE HE IS HUMAN. Not good for our Mick. :( It is obvious that he is on the verge of being killed. While her brother is distracted by Mick, Coraline has the opportunity to get away. Instead, she surrenders herself in exchange for Lance not murdering Mick. As she does so, she says that whoever sent her brother will kill her... but Lance has no mercy. Coraline trades her life for Mick's.

As for Beth, she discovers that Josh was keeping a secret from her. While she is sifting through his personal effects, she finds info about another woman. She thinks that Josh was having an affair & decides to confront the woman. It turns out to be a business relationship only. Celeste is a jeweler. From her, Beth learns that Josh planned to propose.

CBS has released two videos of amazing scenes from Moonlight's last episode ~ Love Lasts Forever (#1x11). One is Mick's revenge at the bar. The other is the sad clip of Josh being shot while Beth and Mick try to rescue him. Both videos show Mick in action! I like the fact that CBS is showing attention to our show :)

Sneak peek promo video from this week's Moonlight episode ~ The Mortal Cure (#1x12). A bit of the first fight scene between Mick and Coraline's brother. He is so gallant coming to her rescue. Watch how Lance's hand instantly heals. Is this our clue as to how Coraline survived the fire that Mick thought killed her?! Mick says, "I couldn't resist." I say..... "I can't wait!" :)

You know how much I adore Mick St John all vamped out :> Dreamweaver has given us this wonderful fan video of important scenes from Love Lasts Forever (episode #1x11). It shows Mick using his Vampire face to get info from the prisoner in the interrogation room, the great action of the fight scene at the bar and ends with the emotional final scene between Beth and Mick. Amazing what Moonlight can pack into six short minutes.

Mick ~ "And then, there's the part in every bar scene where the bartender pulls out a shotgun. Right on cue. You missed me."

Mick ~ "I see them staring at me like I'm inhuman. Those looks used to bother me. Not now!"

Video ~ Mick's second fight scene & unstaking Josef from Sleeping Beauty (#1x10)

We must have been really good cuz Christmas came today! CBS has released yet another Moonlight video today!!! I could get used to this :) "Moonlight - Please Remove the Stake" They have given us Mick's second fight scene with the hitman, poor Josef getting shot and staked, then Mick removing the stake for him. Jason's line reads are just perfect. I love how he simply says "thanks" after Mick unstakes him.

Speaking of.... don't you just adore the way Alex says "Josef." His voice is delicious with or without his native Australian accent. Mmmmmmmm....

Time to start writing! We definitely need to thank CBS for this bounty.

Video ~ Mick's fight scene from Sleeping Beauty (#1x10)

CBS posted another Moonlight video a few minutes ago. Love the title ~ "Don't Make Mick Repeat Himself!" It is the first fight scene Mick has with Josef's would be assassin from the Sleeping Beauty episode (#1x10) last Friday.

Mick in action! More promo photos for you. :) Looks like we are gonna get a great fight scene in Sleeping Beauty (episode #1x10) this Friday. It feels so good to say those words ~ THIS FRIDAY!

Please, rally everyone to watch the show. I have been surprised to see messages on several forums, boards and groups from people who do not realize Moonlight will be back this week (December 14th). The long break and holiday frenzy has thrown off the schedule. Get the word out! I do not need to tell you how important these ratings are to our show.

Fight Scene Music ~ The Bird and The Worm by The Used

One of the reasons I love New Orleans so much is because the city surrounds you with music! When it comes to shows and movies, the musical selections can make or ruin the mood of the scene. Moonlight has done an excellent job in this area.

In the Arrested Development episode, Mick fights Mineo (the teenage vamp) on a roller coaster. "The Bird and The Worm" by the Used is the song that plays ~ underscoring the action. Great choice!
